Coma'd for 14 newpix, awoke to 16 pages which has taken a further 2.6 newpix to catch up on... I shall now vacate my comaquarter and fix myself a nice mug of non-ensemenated caffeine concoction, just in time for the next newpic's publication!

How so? That'd be 6.5 newpix and we know that new Time Frames only occur on whole newpix.

The. 6 Newpix occured at 230, but the 7th didnt occur till 330 it was the darkest newpix yet

I was counting in newpix since the newest comic, though, i.e. since, umm, 4 AM UTC. So, 7 AM UTC would be 6 np there.

Found it! New Daily Pic, NDP, is what I really meant. Now, is the time of NDP* considered 1 np NDP, or 0 np NDP? I was assuming it's 0 in my times above.

We have maintained since very early in the saga that things keep happening that are too much of a coincidence. Going swimming, adding flags, fixing specific turrets, etc... I know you're watching me Randall! I CAN SEE YOU!!!

NDP isn't a quantity of Time; it's a point in Time. When a new comic is posted, at that time I footnoted above. I think it was never resolved whether it reset to zero every day, or only on days with actual new comics. But either way, 9 np ago was definitely an NDP point, with the debut of #1192.

Good morning to you. Re: SWuh... I think the boyfriend may have smashed the router in order to get SOME sort of attention.

My kids arrive in 24 newpix time (on a flight from the UK with their stepmum) and I will be bowing out (just so you don't think I died or something) to enjoy my easter with them (I've not seen them for 10128 newpix, approximately). Still, there's plenty of frames between now and then!

I gave up following this thread (feeling a bit like pfhorrest about it), but I also wanted to thank everybody for their awesome work of organizing and documenting this event so people like me are still able to partake. And I'd like to suggest another end of comic theory: A slow zoom-out like the one in Powers of Ten.

The 2:30 update (as shown in this thread) was pre-mature. It's the same as the current one (4:30). But the animation at aubronwood looks to be continuous, with a different picture for 2:30, one that I remember seeing. So maybe at 2:30 the wrong one was posted but it was quickly corrected (in time for auboronwood to pick up the correct one). Times EDT to be consistent with previous posts.

I've been thinking on how to hide that comic's link in my class I teach, so my students can find it. Maybe as an extra-credit activity or something. Or perhaps I should just open up next semester with it in my online welcome message. (Yes, I quite enjoy that comic.)
Hrm. Probably Goode Homolosine. (Though I admit, when I was at a Buckminster Fuller exhibit in some museum and there was a Dymaxion map... geekness ensued. But by description in the comic, Goode Homolosine.)
