My NPBs build 6144 castles each, but destroy one per mNP. The way I see it, that's a net positive of 5144 per ONG. I'm going to assume that it gets worse each NP, so I'll have to dump them in four ONGs.

Don't sell, invest in things that get you sand (other than bags) and other castle supplies so you survive the onslaught (get yourself self sufficient and then buy more npbs and keep going, don't loose the judgement dips - you will soon get some nice juicy boosts

Good morning all! Sorry if I've been a little absent the past few days. Various outsides have been seaishly distracting. (Does obelisk count as the outside? I guess it does.)

Anyway, apologies to anyone that tried to visit my site on Saturday... it was down all day and I was unable to attend to it until Sunday morning.

Also, I would like to let you know that I had noticed that the gamma setting on apple devices causes my latest slides to be too dark. I've therefore added a gamma correction for apple devices which should enhance your viewing pleasure as Obelisk concludes this week.

I'm frantically trying to finish up the last couple of slides in the moments between kids, work and sleep.

Last he said, he was working on updating the entire site:
On NP1319, Kieryn wrote:This is the last data-update I'm doing to the site in it's current incarnation. I will be reworking a version 2 of the entire site which I will publish when it's done. Might be a few weeks for that.

A Should I be bothered that those two sentences sound perfectly normal?

Yep I did say that didn't I. My plan was to simplify the whole site, including the parsing code, which has become rather seaish and horrible to maintain. I am sorry to say that I won't be updating the data until I do that. I do intend to still do it at some point, but I see no immediate window for me to get it done. I'll let you know when I get back to it.

Anyway that's all for now... don't forget to check out today's slide at 4pm UTC (12 E/11 C/9 P or 5pm GMT). Thats in about 40 minutes.
Edit: #newslide available here: http://kieryn.com/Slides/View/38

PS. Love this statue thing everyone's doing... I missed how it started, but the pictures are nice :)

Trying to keep track of my sandcastle at home, and at work, is proving a bit of a challenge. I keep forgetting which tools and boosts I have where. Since we have OT available at work I am trying to reach Ninja Omnipresence, now that I have Active Ninja.

I appear to be using this thread as a OTG blog. My apologies. Please feel free to ignore these ramblings which, henceforth, will be spoilered where they are off-topic to the main conversation.

Spoiler:
If my calculations are correct (1 castle destroyed per Judgement Dip level per newpixbot per milliNewPix) then I can survive (just about) a Judgement Dip Level of 15 (1 * 15 * 30 * 1000 = 450000, castle production net excluding JD =458620). If it gets worse than that then I suppose I'll have to up the rivers, or hopefully some other boosts will kick in.

Huff! Huff! I've been running away from the "40 pages behind" mark that has been chasing me, but I'm only 39 pages behind today! (not counting the ones I'll have to frysauce later.)

Still have been enjoying everythingful :) - I see there's a present present hidden in a letter soup, and have managed to find myself on it  - Can't wait to wait for it!

As for my title of BlitzGirl the Perpetual... I hope not, I mean, I have to catch up with the present some day, shouldn't I?

'Nuff... If you had been wondering where I had disappeared to, you might have missed the sequence of my percent complete indicators. I was trying to create the new genre of the Fiboblitz, wherein I posted only according to the Fibonacci sequence. I had a feeling other people (especially in this thread) might appreciate the idea, but I realized over the last few days that I don't. It means I'm out of touch with all of you, and that was never what I wanted.

Also, the longer I go without posting, the more wallpostish my replies become, also less than ideal. Still, a few reminders of where I've just been, and where we all once were, seem necessary.

One year after the End of Time in Boston, ad the nearest pub to the location of the bombing.

So, now that this is a defined time, shall we make it happen?

Appreciations:

@kryton for Best. Prediction. Evar: "Possibilities: inland landlocked sea that is slowly flooding the surrounding land." Um, yep. Runner up to @Jonas79 with: "Yes, maybe La Petite will save the day."

@BlitzGirl for loveliest OTTification text (Pray that Time will Fly). Even though, now that it has, I think on the title with some regret.

@jovialbard for loveliest OTTification performance. Y'all gotta watch this again.

@NP365: For delurking not one or two but five new posters: VoronX, SWO Crash, rcrowell, raincity1, and neoliminal.

@kryton et. al. for the Rest Stop Imperpetuate. Took bath at rest stop. Used claw foot tup to avoid stench of decaying corpes in vicinity of autoscrub 21.

@htom: "The Thrice Tined Spork" - this should be the name of an Inn. Probably a safer place than the rest stop.

@mscha: "some observations about the internal time fields" - wow, I got really distracted by trying to figure out what a time field looked like.

@CatHectic: I was pretty sure your name (sans CamelCase) had another meaning, so I finally went and looked it up. Cool.

@PurplePants: I tried the cryptogram solver one one of your ciphers and I think it doesn't like you. Unless you meant "Plucky dost, hap I bogpad em. Yea Boomed when st! Trip: Oiojm'x"

And a few (more) of my favorite Angelastic auto-haikus (yes, I read them all):
Proving that Time will
pass you by when you aren't
paying attention.

I'm not predicting
anything, merely keeping
all options open.

The whole religion
thing is a massive case of
misplaced attention.

That's me not doing
anything productive for
the rest of the day

Won't it be grand if
we are not disappointed
by the denouement?

I would have thanked you
sooner but I was checking
my eyelids for holes.

In other words, just
another span of newpix
on the thread of Time.

With thanks to Valiant Cookie, I believe I am now, at least temporarily, Archbishop of the Past.

So (with thanks to Angelastic):
The sand is golden
And Time drifts past
No time like the Present
IT's what is, and what isn't.
[...]
I'll come just as soon
As I'm able.

And so, there is No Rest for the Weary

* That's an auto-haiku too, which truly influenced my thinking about breaking the fibbing silence.
%-) Incidentally, speaking of bleeding sensory organs, do NOT try using VoiceOver on the OTT. I imagined that it would help me get further ahead for those times when I have my ears free but not my eyes. My ears no likey. Ouch.

I've added a whole lot of double dactyls to the Database - the data is not yet cleaned up properly, but it is time for coma now.

Next stop will be work on the API to enable Chromatic Heresy Frames in Sandcastle Builder.

I think I've finally found out what was upsetting me so much about the story:
Spoiler:
I was using a main event field instead of a summary field.

The little one's been sick, so I haven't really been here... read a bunch of stuff a few days ago - couldn't reply at the time... can't remember most of what I wanted to reply to. I'm pretty sure I wanted to react to some stuff that mikrit and mrob said that cracked me up... sorry I'm not being more specific guys....

It's not an OTTification, maybe a Physification?

I did check this out when you posted it SBN, and it's super treeish, though I don't understand any of that stuff. He's also got one on the Higgs which is also great. Thanks for posting this!

Earthling on Mars, I loved your version of Heinlein!

The evolving OTTherComic was quite fun and of course, so was the echidna - that's the last thing I really remember. I'm pretty sure I had a question for Aluisio and something to say about Sandcastle Builder and Kieryn's newframes, but maybe I should ketchup these last 5 pages before I go into those; they're prolly discussed already.
