An elaborate tale on the subject of pirates, penguins and ma

Postby Eternal Density » Wed Sep 25, 2013 5:38 am UTC

Some small nifty things:

Code: Select all

### 0.996
- Actions now get their own colour rather than being toggles
- New Cuegan boost (finally did The Forty which was suggested ages ago)
- 2 Flag boosts to ninjas

ETA cut off subject was magnets.

Also why do I keep adding stuff I can't afford? :(

Once you get longpix
the boost named Active Ninja
makes it easier

Or

There once was a ninja named Lactive
whose stealth skills were quite unattractive
xe waited some wix
and began the longpix
where a boost made xer rather more Active

A vibrant essay about cyborgs, dragons and philosophy

Postby Eternal Density » Wed Sep 25, 2013 7:56 am UTC

A little update:

Code: Select all

### 0.997
- New Department Boost: Blixtnedslag Förmögenhet, JA! available after you get Blixtnedslag Kattungar, JA! powered up enough
- Nerfed Cooperation to 5% per bucket pair, rather than 10%. Combined with The Forty it made Cuegan far more powerful than Bags
- BKJ! now decays by 5 for a missed kitty

I think I know what I want to do for the NBTö now. An earlier variation of the idea would have required far too much work and far too much data in the save file but I think I have it under control now.
Oooor I could look into server-side programming to make something that's interactive between players.

SB 0.996: The end of manual labour!

Postby Flado » Wed Sep 25, 2013 7:58 am UTC

I just earned Recursion (both of them) in a mere decinewpix. Went from 5G to 140G 'sand dug by hand'. Got a bit sick of bag puns in the process, though.
Spoiler contains cheat instructions.
Spoiler:
Leopard autorepeat. It works for digging sand, if you first click and hold the mouselpy and then press and hold the leos needed for leopard sand-digging. As soon as the sand +numbers start boiling, you may let the molse go.

Spoiler:
I didn't need the molse, just the leos, when I tried it earlier. Though it generally takes a few tries. (Using those leos means I don't need to use the Windows molseleos feature to simulate clicks, where holding down 5 and + had about the same effect as the leopard sand-digging described here.
But on my phone I'll have to do it the proper way. But with Bucket Brigade and Bag Puns and a LOT of Buckets and Bags and Cuegen (and some Rivers for added Bag boosting) I should be able to get there eventually. Actually I only just afforded Bag Puns a few minips ago, now going for Big Splash which recently unlocked, then Irregular Rivers :D :D

Edit to put some text Outside the spoiler :P

I suspect a buglet - I just noticed I don't have "Big Spender" badge, yet I do have "Valued Customer".

I dislike the loss of things for missing kittys - I tend to leave CB running on one of my side monitors and just ignore it when I am busy.

No switching them off is a positive action - the current loses have reduced the affect from a Blitz from 84x earlier this morning, to 29x now - will it drop to zero before the end of the day?

If BKJ is not too get rediculously high just change the formula for using it.

No switching them off is a positive action - the current loses have reduced the affect from a Blitz from 84x earlier this morning, to 29x now - will it drop to zero before the end of the day?

If BKJ is not too get rediculously high just change the formula for using it.

Hmm they do happen pretty often, so yeah a low cost off switch sounds reasonable. It won't go below the normal8x btw.

They are already down to 8x... A switch is useless - it requires an action to activate. Now I am in front of my computer, in 10 minutes I will probably be in the garden or fixing the accounts on my wife's computer or washing up or looking at a web page or even working.

(I didn't find it over the top anyway)

You have a badge for 100 sand tools, how about one for 100 of each (I would qualify), likewise castle tools (I would not).

100 castle tools would be an awesome badge. Dang that'd be expensive. I'm still busy trying to afford 50 of each and the purchase cost is seriously running in the millions.

100 of each would be awesomefull - the most I have is 80 npbs at the moment. (The next npb will cost 37.9 PC)

I'll reduce the dropoff back to 2. 5 is a bit high. And if you don't click in a newpix, not give new kitties until you do. How does that sound?

And yeah more badges are needed. 100 bots is madness, to say nothing of any other castle tool. But maybe it'll be more realistic eventually...

What? 37.9 PetaCastles, as in 37,900,000,000,000,000 castles? That'd better be a typo or a bug.

Yes Petacastles. No its not a bug or typo it is the cost of the 81st npb! - I will need exa castles soon, not to mention zetta and yotta!

Reduce the dropoff and suspend kitties if a kitty is missed until there is some click. That way you still get kitties when the npbs are running - clicking the beach is asking for trouble (ninjaing).

If each castle needs about 1/10 m² ground to rest on, you better provide additional planets in the castle tool section. With 148 km² dry surface our own lil' planet could maybe host one PC. But not 25. Ah, well, maybe a multilayer architecture would save the day...

I like and I am pretty good at building up games that can be properly analysed - I play lots of board games and win this sort of game (unless my son is playing when he beats me 80% of the time - he is even better at this sort of analysis - we are both mathematicians). I am seeing how far I can get it. BTW the 83rd npb costs 99PC and the 67th River 118PC! The River will be purchased next when I get the next furnture sale.
