*checks spreadsheet*
Yep that's a valid value :D (no I don't have the Fibonacci numbers memorised yet.)

Question and appriciation:
Spoiler:
Hmm, am I correct that it's not wise to ninja the newpixbot? Ninjaing it gives only 2.2 sand, while letting it get the newpix gives me 13 castles at the moment.

I must say, I am starting to appreciate the intricate way sand and castles work. You can't buy "bigger buckets" unless you have enough sand per newpix to get the sand per castle ratio over 500. Same with the rest of the boosts. This has given me some pain in my right arm because I really wanted bigger buckets and later huge buckets. It's wowterfull.

speaking of Fibonacci, perhaps you should add the following equations to make the typing a little easier:
=if(B4=1,M4,if(B4=2,N4,round((N4*$L$2^(B4)+M4*$L$2^(B4-1))/sqrt(5))))
Image

Where column M would have the first price the tool starts with N would have the 2nd price

My brain just started putting "we iz redundants" where the words "we are the champions" belong :o mrob27, that's "not bad at all" :D

ETA I'm changing the javascript for ALL the boosts from this:

Code: Select all

new Molpy.Boost('Flag Bearer','Flags are more powerful',5500,8, 'Each flag produces 2 extra sand/mNP, before multipliers','flagbearer');
to this

Code: Select all

new Molpy.Boost({name:'Flag Bearer',desc:'Flags are more powerful',sand:5500,castles:8,stats:'Each flag produces 2 extra sand/mNP, before multipliers',icon:'flagbearer'});
because the number of optional parameters is steadily increasing and it's started to get a bit messy and hard to tell what the numbers mean :p

Also I guess your clock is a bit behind mine.

I used to play, rather casually, many years ago. Unless you can find an experienced DM to introduce, and guide you through 4th edition you would probably do well to just getting your hands on the 4th Edition Player's Guide, and diving in. Use online resources to get a few starter dungeons to run your characters through until you become comfortable with the 4th edition rules, and game play.

That was pretty much what we were planning to do, I just don't want to spend $20 on a book that I'll use once and then set aside collecting dust (looking at amazon reviews for a few books, it seems a few of the "starter kits" for 4E are like this - good to get started with, but useless for later play). Hoping I can find someone who knows what they're doing but if not, I guess I'll just go with what looks most useful.

Always define your bacon!
Undefined bacon is at risk of being confiscated by the redundakitties.

Redundant beings confiscating things that don't exist.

Why doesn't that sound crazy to me?

Doesn't sound crazy to me either. Should it?

Doesn't sound crazy to me, three. Must be a side-effect of being an OTTer.

I think the player guide will always be useful, even as an experienced player. It is always good to have as a reliable reference. So if you do decide to purchase a copy it will likely be worth it. I would not actually spend money on a starter kit since there should be plenty of free online resources for that kind of stuff. I have even known players to save money and not buy dice, but instead to use a dice roll program, though I always felt that was a counter to the whole table-top experience. Perhaps I should dig around in my old files to see if I still have any resources.

What is it with the random generator and ninjas? (Though the redundakitties approve.)

New Othercomic is up. It has recursion in it!
