Ooooh! I just got an OTColored frame! Exciting!

Also, Judgement Dip is evil. Keeping these bots happy is hard to do. Every time I think I may have enough other resources to afford another bot, I get Judgement day. I guess I'll have to be patient and Wait For It.

Its evil but the eventual rewards treeish. Build up the Rivers to aford to lose lots to the dip and wait for it.

ggh -- love those sequence visualizations... that last one looks like it could be from tap tap revenge or something :-)

The obelisk finale is up at noon (about 15 minutes from now). Bring your headphones.

Thanks for the comment on the blitzer odetity. It's nice to say, and probably just rings oh so true for you. The 40NPs was a coincidence, but I kept it because of you. Now I see you're down to 20NPs, congrats!

Thanks! And now I'm 40 pages behind again! XD

Okay, so it's really 140 pages behind, but after those 40 pages I'll be able to be in the present with xall. Ha! I'll be in the present in the distant future which will be the past after that

Sorry I really didn't get much time for testing... It's basically just a hidden embed tag being inserted into the document with autoplay on. The media type is audio/mpeg (it's mp3). If you have a plugin that supports that installed it ought to work.

ETA: I just checked on my iphone. It seems that the continue button is not loading there. Probably a javascript issue. I will try to fix by next week, but for now please use a desktop or laptop.

ETA2: I had a bug with the gamma level fix for this frame, so I've had to temporarily disable it... will also try to fix that soon too. Sorry if it's overly dark for mac users :-(

Haha! I wondered who would be the first to make that reference :)

It's actually "obelisk - into darkness" all lower case. :)

That's right! Yep you might want to go re-look at all the slides to make sure you didn't miss anything.

Today's final sequence will have mouseover text for every image.

Yep, it's amazing how much your eyes adjust to drastically different light levels. It takes a few minutes so no wonder your flashlights blinded them!

In the case of obelisk... by the time we got up there, there was no sign of the people with the lights or anyone else. It really seemed like we were alone.

I very much want to see the end of Obelisk, but I want to experience with sound. It will have to wait until I get home :(

Earlier in the story (#15) you saw lanterns on the horizon. It's what motivated the trip up the hill. BTW, I'm seeing slides I don't remember seeing before (#2, for example). Do we need to send the mschabot to hunt for mustardfixes? I suppose it's possible I just forgot (memory is the second thing to go) but it's more fun to imagine the mschabot on the loose!

Ah. did not see that - thanks. ETA: here is the link for anyone else wondering: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=101043&p=3433133#p3433133

I did not add or remove any frames... there have been occasional minor mustards within frames however which have since been fixed. One recent one was the speech bubbles accidentally disappeared from one of the slides because I uploaded the wrong image set. It was only broken for an hour or two though, so I don't think anyone saw. Also there was a spelling error early on.

But once they are lost they are lost forever - maybe VITSSÃ…GEN, JA! could be give a toggle to switch them back on (or enable an option for them), rather than totally removing them?

Thoughts about the value of various things (where I am):
Buckets - Good - they produce a lot of sand
Cuegans - Ok - since the nerf a few days ago they lost out in the sand production, but they still help bags
Flags - in them selves very poor, but through their affect on Scaffolds wonderful.
Ladders - least usefull sand tool
Bags - Get the most sand and boost Rivers which is good
NPBs - Poor in themselves but the boost they give to oher tools wonderful.
Trebuchets - better now since last buff, also make buckets good
Scaffolds - Now are the second largest castle producer (but lead destruction by a long way)

ETA how about 'Swim Between the Flags' which makes flags and waves boost each other? Also something to magnify the Precise Placement effect since it's not really strong enough. Also is Shopping Assistant any good or does it need some changes to be usable?
Waves - Poor value now
Rivers - Produce the most castles (with help from npbs and bags)

Various Kitties:
Lucky - very poor (much less than 1000th of what I lose per ONG by destruction)
Blitzing - still low value, but at least clicking through the kitty has a positive affect on River loses.
Blast Furnace - poor - why does this count as a special when the npbs produce?
DoN - very useful
Sales - very useful

(414 Castle tools, 1600 Sand tools)

I almost made the pun toggle you mention but I haven't quite got around to it yet. Other stuff was higher priority.
I am not sure that it is wholly valid to judge tools based on their individual production. They're not meant to all produce comparatively large amounts of stuff. Cuegans for example are responsible for a large (I think...) proportion of the power of bags.
Ladders help scaffolds destroy less castles, but I think the effect is too weak and needs anotherboo st. Waves are another definite candidate for future boosting.

I guess I nerfed the 2 Swedish bonuses to blitzing and not lucky a bit too much. I may buff them a bit and/or add additional boosts. Or maybe the later Swedish boosts should affect them too. I'll think about it.

Was blast furnace worthwhile at any point? Does fractal sandcastles do it any good or is it just too unpredictable that it's neverpossible to plan for? Perhaps I should rework it entirely. Also make it combo with Glass Furnace somehow.
