A sad single, two-frame wide panorama for now, but more to come. There will be updates.

Spoiler:
TDO-screenshot.png
A full screen view of a Time panorama is shown. In the center is a single frame sized window, showing a partially clipped scene.

P.S. This was the project I teased before. It's not impressive yet (actually it's gimpy) but you xuys may enjoy going on the journey of evolution with me.

Spoiler:
But once they are lost they are lost forever - maybe VITSSÃ…GEN, JA! could be give a toggle to switch them back on (or enable an option for them), rather than totally removing them?

Thoughts about the value of various things (where I am):
Buckets - Good - they produce a lot of sand
Cuegans - Ok - since the nerf a few days ago they lost out in the sand production, but they still help bags
Flags - in them selves very poor, but through their affect on Scaffolds wonderful.
Ladders - least usefull sand tool
Bags - Get the most sand and boost Rivers which is good
NPBs - Poor in themselves but the boost they give to oher tools wonderful.
Trebuchets - better now since last buff, also make buckets good
Scaffolds - Now are the second largest castle producer (but lead destruction by a long way)

ETA how about 'Swim Between the Flags' which makes flags and waves boost each other? Also something to magnify the Precise Placement effect since it's not really strong enough. Also is Shopping Assistant any good or does it need some changes to be usable?
Waves - Poor value now
Rivers - Produce the most castles (with help from npbs and bags)

Various Kitties:
Lucky - very poor (much less than 1000th of what I lose per ONG by destruction)
Blitzing - still low value, but at least clicking through the kitty has a positive affect on River loses.
Blast Furnace - poor - why does this count as a special when the npbs produce?
DoN - very useful
Sales - very useful

(414 Castle tools, 1600 Sand tools)

I almost made the pun toggle you mention but I haven't quite got around to it yet. Other stuff was higher priority.
I am not sure that it is wholly valid to judge tools based on their individual production. They're not meant to all produce comparatively large amounts of stuff. Cuegans for example are responsible for a large (I think...) proportion of the power of bags.
Ladders help scaffolds destroy less castles, but I think the effect is too weak and needs anotherboo st. Waves are another definite candidate for future boosting.

I wasn't complaining as much as noting what is good and what is bad. The help ladders give to scaffolds is currently irrelevant. I lose 20G Castles/ONG from Scaffolds, Ladders save a couple of hundred.

I guess I nerfed the 2 Swedish bonuses to blitzing and not lucky a bit too much. I may buff them a bit and/or add additional boosts. Or maybe the later Swedish boosts should affect them too. I'll think about it.

Was blast furnace worthwhile at any point? Does fractal sandcastles do it any good or is it just too unpredictable that it's neverpossible to plan for? Perhaps I should rework it entirely. Also make it combo with Glass Furnace somehow.

I think the blast furnance was good quite a while ago - it just does not produce enough castles to buy anything these days (Only ONGs and DoN do). As for fractal sandcastles - it is hard to judge what the affect is. Basicly anything that generates less than a few hundred Tera Castles is noise (unless it has secondary benefits). (Ladders are the only thing still priced in TCs)

Treeish! After you 1110ify 1190, will you 1190ify 1110? Cuegan and the Forty could explore the Click and Drag world frame by frame. Then we could start colorizing and singing about those frames too. :)

Thanks BlitzGirl, ED, Jose and Kieryn for the encouragement. :) I am hoping if I just keep poking the Epilogue with different sticks, someone will suddenly say, "hey, wait a minute... that looks like...." and maybe we'll find an Easter egg.

I'm not as far as waveney is, but I am to the point where bonuses that are less than tera-castle level aren't especially helpful. I loved blast furnace a while back, but it didn't scale to the gameplay (it's still in the ten millions level for me, usually). Not Lucky is earning me 3 million castles per click, which barely registers now that I'm at the peta-castle level. Perhaps a little too nerfed, though I like that it increases now.

I'm not sure what the fractal sandcastle thing is, never gotten it. And I like what you did with the category buttons, ED. :)

I finally had to look up the meaning of nerfed, since I couldn't figure out why it was a bad thing. My brain always makes it say Newfed anyway, which is definitely a good thing. Add to that my daughter's participation in HvZ, where nerf weapons are top end (above socks and marshmallows) and I was seriously confused.

@Kieryn, It took me three browsers before I found one that would let me see all of obelisk, but it was worth the effort. Thanks.

I should do the same. Tomorrow (today) I'm going back to Windows, possibly reinstalling it.
But for some reason I'm not so interested on reading the book I have next to my bed.
I could read Dan Brown's Inferno, but considering my usual reaction to his books, I won't be able to do anything else once I start reading.

Back during the 4th doctor's time, Romana regenerated and copied her new body from the princess in the last episode with the old Romana. I think that idea could be used again by having the new doctor copy the body for his next regeneration from someone he'd met before. I'm more curious how they plan to get around the limit of 12 regenerations. That would mean the 13th doctor absolutely would have to be the last one. But someone told me they had covered that problem in an earlier season. What happened? Anyone know? I've not watched since Sylvester McCoy.

Hey Aluisio, a couple of questions about Know Thy Otter:

What do you think about adding questions in the form of "Who did such-n-such?" For example, instead of asking: "What's the ickiest thing TimeSpatula800 found in xer sock?", asking, "Who once found a decomposing sausage in xer sock?" It could just be me, but somehow I feel like that form of question makes me think more, and then has more punch when I learn the answer (Oh, poor TimeSpatula800! Xe seemed like such a neatfreak - that must have been really upsetting!) In addition, if what TimeSpatula800 had really said was that someone had put a rotting kielbasa in xer knee-highs, then we wouldn't be able to cheat and search for the answer.

Also, what do you think about including those in the basement? Or those who just didn't bother to fill out a form. Would that be creepy? For example, what if I submitted the question, "Which CG artist made treeish manips whilst suffering from work-induced sleep deprivation?" or "Who provided an Excel tool for OTTers to make their own Forum Activity by TimeFrame graphs?" would that make the game richer, or more stalker-ish?

It'd be easy to add a new viewset for that. But considering how small KTO's QA pool is after a week…

ggh wrote:Also, what do you think about including those in the basement? Or those who just didn't bother to fill out a form.

I don't have patience for entropy going back in time and locating possible QAs. But nothing stops you (or someone else) from doing it. It's not like I was recording IP addresses to verify if the submitters are truly who they claim to be.

PS. Your question is live. Someone please give ggh a proper face with transparent background.

Heehee - 'tis true: I don't have a proper face. And I like my painting, but it doesn't really work avatar-sized. I don't want to be rushed into an identity though - and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings if they make me an awesome avatar, but I don't feel comfortable in that skin.

I hope one day I'll see an image and say, "hey, that's what I want looking out at folks when I have something to say," but until then, I want to stick with my blue sweeps of water and little brown pebbles.

Gah. I just spent all my castles buying something I didn't want because I saw the Swedish Boost and panicked. And it was actually the boost turning off, so I paid full price for it too. :(

You want a glass chip to get more glass chips. And beyond that you will have to wait for me. :( but I have no shortage of ideas.

ETA just to rub it in I just got ASHF and got a bunch more rivers and bags and my 67th Newpixbot. Though I could have afforded 2 if I hadn't bought so many of the others. ETA More Mustard: The load/save goes wrong when you have more than 1000EC. I think this is because it swaps from a simple number to Scientific notation. (The save I think saves it, it is the load that gets it wrong - will do more research in a few hours - program currently stopped)
