Sorry... I was being sort of facetious... I'm struggling to put together a complete story actually. I'm great at having ideas, but turning them into well-formed ideas is challenging. Maybe i could just start something without knowing where it will end up? The story would not be as good, but it might be an interesting experiment. Hmmmm.

Oops. :oops: I was reading that as that you were going to illustrate a bit of prequel - a Time Before Time. Now I see it's obvious what you were really saying, but sometimes I see/hear what I want to see/hear. Your mood setting in obelisk was so powerful, I jumped at the thought that you might breathe some heat and vastness into the Mediterranean with some newslides.

Thanks! Hmm. I might consider doing something like that, but I want to try to keep kieryn.com stuff open to a reasonably broad audience... I don't want to alienate people that do not know what Time is outsiders. As long as the context was clear enough I guess it would be okay. Alternatively maybe it could be it's own thing, specifically for OTC followers.

Actually, perhaps if someone else was to write a short story about the Time world I'd be happy to illustrate it... although some all of BlitzGirl's drawings have been awesome so maybe she'd like to take on that one :)

Technically the term 'gender' only applies to language. The term 'sex' is the one that applies to biology. I got that a while ago - the ceilings are easier than yesterday - I bought many yesterday when the Glass price escalated.

No wonder I've been able to afford them! (I just bought ceiling 8 earlier this mornip. Now I feel guilty for getting it for a 9th of the correct price. Oh well.)
Responses to the requests:
1) Yes it would. Would adding it to the Stats page be good enough for now?
2) Yeah I'm a bit haphazard about glass usage at the moment so I need to clean that up and have it notify properly. Though I also need to overhaul the notifications system. As it is, an NPB activation including 6 or 7 runs of factory automation causes enough messages to really drop the framerate badly. Adding glass usage messages (i.e. panther salve every time you get Not Lucky) would only make it worse.
3) I remember you've requested that one before, I think. I could just make it not notify if the amount is less than 0.1% of the total? That seems pretty reasonable and doesn't require user interaction.
4) Funny you should mention that, I was already planning on doing that :D :D :D

It's counting n.5, n.6, n.7, n.8, n.9, (n+1).0, n.0, n.1, n.2, n.3, n.4, n.5, (n+1).5, and so on (it hits each of .5 and .0 twice but is at those points half as long, so it seems to be switching at .05 and .55G sand). It's not actively affecting the game but it's annoying because I don't know exactly how much sand I have.

Whoops I seem to be rounding wrong. So that's been incorrect for over a wip. Unless it just happened due to something else I changed yesterdip... ETA yeah I see what I did: there were two stupid things which used to cancel out and yesterdip I fixed one because it became relevant because of another stupid thing, which made the original stupid thing show up. Easily fixed.

Yeah, I'm sort of like this too, though with weird quirks. (I'm fine at parties if I have someone I know there to lead me into conversations, but I can't start them.)

On noticing that molpying down my test save and buying 4 npbs results in Judgement Dip level 4 million, I've instituted a newpix-based limit on the judgement dip level. Now you need to be on at least NP 12 to get level 1, and NP 45 to get level 12. I hope that's reasonable.
Now to look into the report of the Mega prefix being wrong and then I'll push an update.

So I decided to add just one little boost... and usual it took a lot longer than expected.

Code: Select all

### 1.83
- Fixed Glass Ceiling glass prices: they were all the same when they should not have been.
- Earning Ceiling Broken makes all the ceilings untagged, and you can lock any of them if you like, and they're all available from the Department if you do lock them, and the prices go back to their base values permanently. (Or for instance if you Molpy Down)
- Removed floor pie and ceiling pie from the code so I can actually read it.
- Fiddled with redacted timing, should work more consistently now
- Fixed incorrect number rounding
- When building or destroying castles, if the amount is less than 1/10000 of the castles you have, don't notify (the amount is added to the running total of castles to notify about later)
- Prevent "by the newpixbots" message from showing if the amount destroyed was not shown.
- Maximum judgement dip level based on newpix: Can't get Level 1 before NP12, level 2 before NP20, level 3 before NP24, Level 6 before NP34, level 12 before NP45...
- Added a cheap hopefully fun boost for people in the earlier game
- Messed around with the CSS a bunch, improved a couple of things

Is rediculous a portmanteau of redundant and ridiculous?

And I don't see anything strange about the number of minor versions I'm making. After all, my browser is on major version 29, which is followed by ".0.1547.76"
Also I have exactly 200 different versions of my company's software installed at the moment, ranging from 3.1.0.3 to 3.6.1.570. Though the final number (the build number) is incremented for every build and isn't changed between minor versions (we have automated builds of development and prep release branches, plus feature branches) so the latest built versions are 3.6.1.634, 3.6.0.635, and 3.5.0.632.

Yeah in English we usually say 'tall' for height. Length is horizontal.

As it doesn't seem to occur anymore with 1.85 I'd think yes. Actually, I was already thinking it might be display-related, for example a display-event related to dig coming in later or taking longer to handle, but didn't have time to debug for you. But this also work.

@Ed,

1) The new reporting limit for castle use is too good, it is no longer reporing any expenditure other than a very large multi-buy (I have a few castles) - I think the limit should be a little lower (about 1000th as much).

2) The 'Panther Salve' and 'Run Raptor Run' boosts are simply not worth it - if you have both, they would raise a "Not Lucky" to about 10,000th of what I would get in a single ONG from Castle tools. (Note I now have 8 of the glass ceilings). And I keep my castle total quite a long way ahead of the ONG production, for optimal DoN results.

3) The price of DoN is now going down... You only enable it one ONG in three but it goes down every ONG (I have Broken Bottle)
