Born in 85 here as well, I remember the Berlin wall coming down, but that's because it was on my birthday when I turned 4, seeing it on a little black and white TV that was in the kitchen.

A thread on another forum has reminded me; later this month, there will be people old enough to vote in the EU referendum in the UK who will not be able to remember Scotland taking part in the FIFA World Cup (last qualified in 1998) or UEFA European Championship (1996). :(

I like it when the Time Ghost and the Time Vultures come out.
This one stunned me. Of course, it is a mundane truth.

There are voters that do not remember how near World Peace we were.
At least many of us were doggedly and boringly working in that direction.

I remember 1999. We were partying like it was 1999!
In 1999 the USA had $0.00 debt and $3.5 million in The Bank.

9/11 changed the direction of our collective boat.
More than the deaths of JFK or Princess Diane.

9/11 is our global collective touchstone.
It did not have to be this way. Yet; It is.
Life is, just, an exchange of electrons; It is up to us to give it meaning.

We are all in The Gutter.
Some of us see The Gutter.
Some of us see The Stars.
by mr. Oscar Wilde.

Those that want to Know; Know.
Those that do not Know; Don't tell them.
They do terrible things to people that Tell Them.
