Alt-text: Oh, I think this word might mean 'Crisco'!

EDIT: Is that a HOOK at the roof? If so... YOU JUST lost twenty dollars and my self respect!

WIN. The more skateboards/rope swings involved in your sex life, the healthier it is.

I think the person on top of the house might have too much slack, so probably not her.

They could at least pull back the covers BEFORE they assault the bed.

The rope. What is it tied to?

Also, that's no hook on the roof, it's the gutter. (;

The thing is that the Sanskrit word for "crisco" looks a lot like the English phrase "above the covers," albeit somewhat squished together and tied in a knot. A cool coincidence if there ever was one.

Just wait 'till they get to page 128 which has pillow mistranslated as cannon.

Anyone know how much energy it takes to wreck a pelvis? And what do you suppose the scale is on the picture?

The part of the roof the girl is standing on is about 8 feet up, I'd suppose.
russianspy1234 wrote:Is it just me, or is that a third person in the bed?

It's called a "pillow."

I'm guessing we won't be needing the cuddle mattress tonight?

Especially since we'll probably be ending up in the hospital.

I've waited for the past 55 minutes for somebody to make a post I could apply the classic, "that's what she said," line to. But alas, nobody has set me up. I am saddened. Dismayed, even. As for the comic, heh. Made me smile.
I blame lag.

If they checked the definitive version, they'd see that part's not canon after all. </badpun>

Absolutely brilliant. The perfect mix of romance and absurdity!

That's actually not that much. Rough estimation: Something of 20 kilograms lying on top of you.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Average_heigh ... tory_house

so it's 5 m, she's 4' 11", he's 5'9", those are reasonable people heights so I think it's a good estimate.

Anyway, I think from the slack of the rope this is designed for a collision right as they reach the bed in the middle, so she's falling 3.8 meters, and he's falling about 3.2, but then he loses it on the way back up, right? So he falls an equivalent of 2.4 feet.

...suddenly I don't remember how to do this.

Other issues to consider are what happens to the skateboard? And how the headboard is designed. I think it would be way more efficient if the guy came in from the headboard side. That way, the skateboard would automatically be disposed off, the the tarzan girl would have no danger of hurting herself.

Assume reasonable masses for both people, assume no non-conservative forces, apply conservation of energy and then analyze the collision.

This actually seems brilliant. It's a simple role reversal. The man roles down the hill off the ramp and while airborne w/ no where to go but where there is pain waiting to happen the woman comes swinging towards him in mid-air and saves him. At the end of all this once the rope stops swinging it will hang above the bed and the man will have to pay the woman back for saving his life in "the only way he knows how" so they just slide (not actually slide in fear of rope burn) down the rope to the bed for the man to service the woman.

Not in the plane of the comic, taking the comic as a 2D slice of a 3D world.
