What annoys me most is daytime drivers. You know, the ones who drive between 10am and 3pm on weekdays. They are the worst.

Does anyone here remember that newsgroup for people to complain about other drivers? It wasn't all that popular, but it had some funny posts of people thinking that their complaint would be read by the person who did whatever to them.

This comic is awesome.

However, I'm posting mainly because I just want to know if there's really a speech synth out there that sounds like a human voice, and if so, what it's called and how to get it.

Okay, so I'm getting the impression that's classhole (obviously) and classholette. Nowwould this be the first date, or just typical classhole/classholette hyjinx?

I had an idea for a web site, but I don't have the resources to host it.

It would be called "You are an asshole", and you could post the license plate of someone you thought was an asshole on the road and tell them exactly how you feel.

I thought this was them driving to wherever they are going on the first date.

Edit: As something else to add, my dad drives like an asshole and tailgates people and such. I'm sure he'd be complained about a lot.

This reminds me of some silly license plate holders I saw, that have an LED display in them. You can program messages to scroll by using the IR remote. I'm tempted to buy one just so I can use the remote to reprogram other peoples' displays from the passenger seat.

Also, someone actually sucks more than me at drawing cars! :P

Let it be known:
Drake includes the drive under the term "date".

Whether this is a first date or not, seeing them together is beautiful. This comic was full of win. The only thing that disappoints(and I use that term with disdain, as this particular comic brings me the utmost delight) me is that Black Hat Man is only seen driving. This is not actually that much of a joint effort. Granted, she would not have been able to operate the computer if he wasn't driving, but I want to see them combine their efforts to take the entire planet down a notch or two.

All the permutations I can think of for "You are an Asshole".com I could think of were registered. However, I do have the resources to host that (at least to start off), if anyone finds a decent domain name.

Elaine has blond hair. However, Elaine is probably Journal Girl's friend, as she was last (probably) seen skating in the arctic (presumably) when Black Hat popped up in the "borrowed" Russian sub.

Wouldn't that be a platonic way? Loving him in a heterosexual way seems to me more as if it would refer to a strong desire to place your man-parts inside his lady-parts, possibly whilst fondling his breasts.
As Randall presumably has neither vagina nor mammories, this would be difficult.

Friends, it is official: Black Hat Man has not gone soft.

And yes, I know that Journal Woman was the only one who really did anything here. Nonetheless, he was there, and he did not collapse into a singularity under the pressure of the mind-shattering, malignant glory radiating from his passenger seat. So he has not gone soft.

Edit: Oh, yeah, and the second Arctic skater was definitely Elaine Roberts. I wasn't convinced before, but Journal has clearly studied with the best.

I'm glad he didn't soften up...I don't know how I could live without seeing his constant efforts to one-up everyone. And with a female double, well, this can only get more interesting.

I've always had a soft spot for the "Fun with hacking" strips. This would be the coolest thing I've read all night but I've been doing an inordinate amount of reading of comics.

Also, I'm pulling out that heterosexual/platonic point next time someone uses that expression. :)

Arguably, that could be a pretty wide range of targets, though.
Let's think.
He's male, clearly driving age, and as he is tailgating, he's probably either
a: young and impatient
b: old and crotchety
c: middle-aged and impatient.

In the case of a, he's probably a litle bit more gullible than most people, and worried that his girlfriend/sister/whatever has just been killed and he's receiving a portent.
In the case of b, he has almost certainly known someone who was both female and died. He could be persuaded to believe that he is being visited by a ghostly voice.
In the case of c... okay, that's where I'm gonna stop putting effort into analyzing the funny, but still, you get my point. They're working off of fear.

I have to go with benjhuey with this one. It takes more than just knowing a female who's died for this one to be effective. There has to be some connection to the target that is plausible enough for his subconscious to go for. In my case, I knew a couple of women who died prematurely, but I certainly didn't give them cancer, so it wouldn't register at all for me.

Of course it might still be a case of "What the hell are you talking about? Who do you mean? Are you sure you have the right--" *CRASH* if the question produces enough distraction. Sort of like Reverse Nerd Sniping.

YES YES YES

I am going to DO THIS. It will also be interesting to figure out ways to upload the photos... I know you can upload pics directly to Flickr with Nokia phones, maybe there's something there?

EDIT: Okay it seems like some other people are maybe already started on this but on the off chance, I am doing one that lives on a subdomain for the time being.

This reminds me of a Bob the Angry Flower where he does a similar psych-out thing to a telemarketer... I can't find it right now though (at work, never enough time).

Anyone else know what I'm on about, or am I talkin' to myself?

Also:
A friend of mine has recently completed a thesis on tech security relating to insecure wireless - the results were prety staggering. At one point he just drove around with a laptop and some aggressive wifi software. Turns out there were way more APs than I'd imagined and a huge proportion that were completely open. The security on most of the remainder was pretty woeful, too.

Granted...but it can also take less. Anyone who's not in your direct line of sight might have spiraled downhill since you last saw them. Add a little free-floating guilt, because you know you could have done better by them...

If there's no one in your life to whom this applies, then either you're several decades younger than me...or I truly envy and admire you.
