0497: "Secretary: Part 4"

Alt Text: "It's time to draw the line"

My only thought after I read this was "W. T. F?"

Did I do it right?

I said in the thread for last comic that Randall will occasionally go for the pun.

Hence: Tron Paul

Did NOT expect the Tron reference...interesting but it doesn't feel as...epicish as the last 3. Then again, topping those last 3 is impossible.

I read the ALT text and laughed my ass off. I'm a big fan of Armagetron, sorta a Tron knockoff. Great comic.

For some reason this comic reminds me of the CNET news article in which it was uncovered that Open source folks are voting for Obama and shrugging off their generally libertarian weltanschaung.

I believe the alt-text pun was superior. In my opinion, the best part of this comic.

I always liked that Paul believed in constitutional money. Nice to see that his head isn't up in the clouds.

TRON PAUL!

I was thinking there would be a 2001 reference .. but then I realised the quote was 'open to pod bay doors'.

Easily the awesomest in the series yet. In fact, I'm hard-pressed to think of an awesomer comic in general, though that may just be the immediacy of it.

I might be attacking a bit of a strawman. I've just heard that the Ronpaul didn't think much of evolutionary theory.

Not a strawman. For example, Paul has said that ""I think it's a theory, the theory of evolution and I don't accept it as a theory." See for example this clip

Cory Doctorow defending Black Hat guy from the Ronpaul... Awesome.

Did anyone else catch the analysis of why the Ronpaul lost the Republican nomination? Wheels within wheels within wheels...

Wait, since when was there anything specifically saying the arc lasts only 5 comics?

I'm not sure how Randall could rap this one up in only one more comic; I have a suspicion that it might continue into next week, until at least election day.

Epic! i really liked the joke about the Ronpaul dropping the gold standard. not sure how many people caught that one. But what really got me was the final tron pun. "its time to draw the line!" rofl rofl rofl

I love the idea of the Ronpaul living the lifestyle of some kind of Bond villain except instead of world domination he fights for strict constructionism and sound fiscal policy.

I demand a volcano lair and/or moon base!

Also some kind of Return of the Jedi style spectral visit from Harry Browne and other deceased libertarian luminaries would be appreciated.
