At first I thought she was breaking the duck's neck!

Then I went back to make sure the guy wasn't the man in the black hat.

I'd just be happy if I could get my ducks in a row like in panel three.
Try the Printifier for xkcd. You can now scale the comic between 50 and 150%.

Ducks look kind of like wugs. Or rather, wugs look like ducks. Because wugs are fictional.

I don't mean to nit-pick, but from my experience with ducks, the mother duck would have attacked, rather than run away. Nasty, evil creatures.

No, that's it's name. It's being built five and a half feet above ground.

Mama duck would have attacked had the only thing he did to intimidate her been the "ROAR!"; the added "BOO!" caused mama duck to be frightened enough to retreat.

Also, I completely support the idea of a a large duckling collider. People should get to working on that immediately, FOR SCIENCE!

Or, you know, maybe it might be more like Duckroll'd. You know, something with ducks. You just accidentally duck. You will have good fortune, in bed with a duck.

I wrote a list of possible memes to promote this year, but I accidentally the whole thing.

Also, I don't know any ducks that would let me get this close to try looping them. They're all pretty wild, as are the kangaroos out my way.

The big question is: was this the girl's idea or the guy's idea?

Oh, and @ dennisw:
Great idea, but how do you know which is which?
Also, that arrangement of quacks isn't possible, unless some of them are actually antiquacks.
@ Luthen:
I almost suggested that, but up and down imply a height dimension, while those ducks are at constant altitude. The apparent up/down motion is due to the upright orientation of the image on your screen.

I was disappointed by the lack of the ducklings peeping. They need to peep!

Otherwise, a good show all around.

The aerial view of "Bottom" seems to match the first duckling behind the mother just before removal. Thus we can name the quacks from the first panel and then work forward to the final panel.

Telling which is which is an awful lot like chick sexing, but it's more difficult because of all the spinning and the charging. Also adding to the difficulty is that they don't echo.
