Title text: "Inigo/Buttercup 4eva <3"

I was first? I was really first? I only registered this account to †roll the math forum with the occasional "0.999=1?" thread, and when I came to check if there was a thread for today's strip, there wasn't.

I like it.

Coincidentally, my girlfriend thinks this is the "best birthday XKCD strip ever" (it's her birthday as of ~7 minutes ago).

...As you wish.

haha we are playing a princess bride mafia right now (as the whole WIFOM thing comes from PB) (well, I'm not playing, I was lynched...and sadly too, I never got to use my ancient booer powers!)...this comic couldn't have better timing!

I love the princess bride. Such a funny movie. I like the ending of this strip. "...as you wish."

it's all a reference to The Princess Bride: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093779/

Worst comic ever.

It calls Westley a dick!

It edits Princess Bride!

NOT COOL!

I didn't pick up on the Princess Bride reference until panel three, so I thought the title was revealing the ending in some convoluted homage to John Dies At The End.

God I go out of my way to justify things I don't understand.

It looked more like a bandanna to me.

Also, I thought Westley didn't have to kill people because the Dread Pirate name was enough.

So many movie quotes to choose from, I'll just not say any at all.

Reading the comic I was like "Hmm.... this seems alot like.... oh wait. It is. Huh"

I loled as soon as I read the first panel. That always annoyed me about the story.

Then again, she was a bit of a blonde.

Or, more accurately a mask. They're terribly comfortable. I think in the future, everyone will be wearing them.

Indeed. Once word's gone out that a pirate's gone soft, it's nothing but work, work, work all the time!

I would not say such things if I were you . . .

This reminds me of reading Jane Eyre. I realize Mr. Rochester is a tortured man, etc. etc., but I find it so hard not to dislike him.

Yay! I just finished reading the Princess Bride book recently, so I immediately knew what the comic was referring to at the first panel. Speaking of the book, I found it a really enjoyable read. I even liked the superfluous (and fake) footnotes. Speaking of the footnotes, those were really sneaky, since it seems that William Goldman used them to gloss over parts he didn't want to write ^^ Effective, though.
