Alt text: Great, and you JUST finished paying off the settlement over the Wayne Coyne hamster ball incident.

This should be interesting...

Hey, look, a storyline.

Did you seriously have to clarify who Nathan Fillion was? I'm appalled.

I sense extreme source of epic in the near future...

My favourite series so far is probably 'Journal.' Woot for mines on the driveway

In the Unicycles and Poi thread I suggested a Unicycle Tour De France.

Well now I suggest an Electric Skateboard Tour De France.

It'd be like doing the Tour de France in cars, or like, everyone riding the same bus.

You know, perhaps the inclusion of the "(Mal from Firefly)" is intended to be part of what female character is saying to male character, rather than a clarification for the reader. If so, then all that means is that said male character is just not cool enough to know the wonders that are firefly.

My bets are on Fillion starting off at a disadvantage, but then rallying for the win

Alright Nathan Fillion is the main star in Firefly. Also he is currently starring in Castle on today/tomorrow. Has been in other stuffs, notably Waitress with Keri Russell, and Dr. Horrible's sing-a-long blog.

Well, clearly that is what is intended, but it seems like an "As you know, Bob". Well, it's not one of those, but same idea. It's unrealistic dialogue to make the reader understand better. I mean, obviously the guy knows who the dude is. His girlfriend should know that too.

Randall makes obscure references all the time. We didn't forget how to Google.

I, for one, would love to see a car version of the Tour De France ;) It'd just be too dangerous, though. Hence Electric Skateboards is the perfect solution.

Imagine how fast Electric Skateboard technology would improve!

Of course, said improvements would reach a plateau after the first Tour De Tesla fatalities...

What about doing the Tour in hamsterballs! - It could be like a combined zorb-hamsterball type device (possibly with an eeepc inside too!).

Seriously, if I raced Nathan Fillion, he'd make me laugh so hard I'd fall off my skateboard and he'd win by default.

He's awesome.

I first saw nathan fillion in dr. horrible, myself.

I only know his name because absolutely everyone felt the need to comment "he's from firefly!" whenever dr. horrible came up in a conversation.

I would assume the ratchet sound is the sound of the wheel mountings being double checked and set to the ideal tightness. He wouldnt want a wheel falling of when he races, now would he?
