As of Jun 4, the headline has reverted back to

Code: Select all

/b/ - Random
The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood.
Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.

Although I have no idea about a specific time (or day).

Come now people, we need both of these groups to exist.

They keep each other busy with their own fights, and we get to sit back and laugh our asses off.

They really don't give a care, and we have our own problems right now, problems more important than some webcomic author.

If you want me to explain it all I will.

First we had Anontalk spamming all of the boards with advertisements, that led to us DDoSing them down. Using a disguise anontalk then DDoS'd /b/ using a trojan spread through rapidshare, that hordes of *newbs* downloaded and became part of a botnet. Naturally /b/ moved into the backup boards /gif/ /d/ and /x/.
/x/ got all pissy but then calmed down after a bit, but then was attacked by supposed russian spam and eventually all the posts on the board where pictures of a soviet flag with the words Victory day May 9th. Soon things were made even worse when m00t wrongly accused 420chan, which than sparked a mini *chan war. For a while almost half of 4chan was down. Then the dust settled when m00t figured out the source of the DDOS and instructed people to do a full system scan and remove the trojan. A group of more seasoned /b/tards decided to stay in /x/ because newbs didn't realize it was backup board, and OC flowed life great nectar. /x/ got super pissed and actually trolled /b/, and eventually kicked the /b/tards out. For a long time /b/ was super slow, and now it's still really sporatic and people are still talking about utilizing the backup chans. Stuff is not going well, more DDoS trojan links are showing up and it's newb summer, so tons of retarded 13-15 year olds are going to download the trojan thinking it's pron, which could lead to this happening all over again.

4chan has died twice in these few past months, and it is looking like a future death is around the corner.

Randall posting this will barely affect the rush of newbs 4chan is getting.

Except for his hair colour, which is actually "reddish-brown" at least in the book.

This thing called "reading" and "remembering", I am not sure if modern Internet sorts still do it.
