Near the end of the comic, Randy makes references to at least four movies!

Hmph... 4 movies. I feel inadequate in that I'm only able to identify three.

Always remember to hold the mouse over the image, kids! It contains important or sometimes not information.

Yes but by the time we go that deep into detail some smartass(read: me) is going to point out that half blood prince isn't a movie yet. 3 movies and a book.

No no no, you see, Randy can travel through time. He has been to when "The Half-Citizen Matrix Club" comes out. It's actually a single movie reference.

My only input is that I don't think movie titles are underlined. At least not in print.

The Half-Citizen Matrix Club...

So, Harry finds out he's the 'chosen one' who will lead a revolution against Lord Voldemort's evil mainframe. Finding out all he can about his adversary, Harry discovers that Voldemort's most prized posession is his childhood sled, while Dumbledore tries to convince him that Ron and Hermione are figments of his imagination?

I'm not going to think about how much potential sense that could make.

having just noted the mouseovers, I'm now checking out the old ones and I want to get the bonus points for #54 - modern phyics, blackbody radiation, the intensity of the emitted radiation is a function of frequency & temperature. I don't remember what has a peak at that frequency though...

Google says it's the peak frequency of the cosmic microwave background. And hehe, the third (I think) result is Randy's livejournal.

When it's not clear which comic the thread points to, it's either highly amusing or somewhat disturbing. Another game you can play on a rainy day.

Without a doubt, he is the grandest one in the imperial procession of robots.

In logical terms, only the Tenth sorcerer will live to see the dusk.

...I sound like one of those crappy spam mails now.

But this thread is old man, old.

(I should probably quote the person I'm replying to in case they delete their post. I'd look like a fool if that happened.)

then we tried to think of the worst possible endings to a film. Couldn't really beat the Matrix trilogy tho :(

I know everybody hated the PoTC2 ending, but I loved it. I also liked the Matrix sequels though, so I'm just odd.

What do you speak of? The greatest day in film history was the day the Wachowski brothers gave up on their insane dream of having two sequels to the matrix.....

Lisa Carlavati on "Rosebud"

Calling the ending "spoiled" makes it sound like it's an ending that actually matters, like "He's been dead the whole time!", "It's actually Earth by the Statue of Liberty!", "They eat PEOPLE?!?", "They all look like pigs and she's the pretty one!", etc

The ending ain't that startling. It's more like telling someone "Scarlet thinks tomorrow is another day!" or "Her heart's desire is still in black and white!" or "They're not all that happy once they leave the church, but Simon and Garfunkel will sing anyways!" or "This actually IS a kissing book!"
"She’s a free spirit, a wind-rider, she’s at one with nature, and walks with the kodama eidolons”
