Ok, it sounds like "vulva", yet the company's logo is the male symbol. What's up with that?

I can't argue with the truthiness of this comic.

That's never actually occurred to me in the past... perhaps today's comic would have been funnier if it had.

So wait, does this mean we know Beret-Guy's name? Because I'm pretty sure Randall only draws females with ponytails, and a quick Wikipedia lookup shows that Volvo's CEO isn't named Stephen, so the only Stephen left...

Or to put accurately, there're two Volvo companies, Volvo Group and Volvo Cars. Stephen O'Dell is the CEO of Volvo Cars.

Randall, I didn't think I could love you any more, but then you had to go make a cheap shot at one of the most loathsome people in modern political discourse. Well done.

Apply the root concept-word of evolve and revolve to Volvo: it rolls.

She stuffed it in her backpack and threw it out the window to a waiting accomplice. The whole documentary thing was just a ruse to get in there.

When I first saw that this strip was about Volvo, I thought of Twilight, because I want to smack the person who had the gall to come up with that What Drives Edward? campaign.

Alsadius believes white beret guy to be Michael Moore. Alsadius also needs to not bring politics onto this board (seriously, don't do it people).

Those are entirely different hats than BHG wears. Though I'd bet BHG is an... imaginative... security guard.

OH! OK...I was just trying to figure out why he had so much hate for the CEO of Volvo...your idea makes more sense though.

"In 2008, as Hurricane Gustav approached the Gulf Coast as a Category 3/4 hurricane, Moore told MSNBC host Keith Olbermann on August 29, 2008 that the hurricane is "proof that there is a God in heaven,"[46] since it would be hitting land on the same day as the start of the Republican National Convention."

And let's not forget his wonderfully accurate movies - see, for example, http://www.davekopel.com/Terror/Fiftysi ... it-911.htm and http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html

And after all, what's wrong with becoming a multimillionaire by bashing capitalism?

There are many leftists out there I have respect for. Moore is not one of them. He's like the left wing equivalent of Ann Coulter - they're both a pair of blowhards more concerned with making a profit by annoying their opponents than with any sort of intellectual honesty or rational thought. As far as I'm concerned, you could strand those two on a desert island with a volleyball to keep them company, and the American body politic would be better for it.

And for what it's worth, I don't believe it to be Moore so much as a Moore parody(judging by the name of the strip, if nothing else). That said, I've explained my position, I'll let the politics die.

Benson, that might be the best alternate explanation for a strip I've ever heard.

Sir/Madam, if you were going to let the politics die you would have NOT POSTED THAT. Especially since the query was to the effect of "who are you talking about?" not "I know who you are talking about, why don't you like them?". Please, delete your entry before someone seizes on it and this becomes a flamewar.

This comic reminded me of the Dodge "Ram" icon, and how someone once pointed out how similar it was to a uterus and fallopian tubes. I still think of that whenever I see the icon now. And if you're not sure what i mean, just search google images.

On a marginally related note, "i fart" in Swedish roughly translates to in or at speed.

"volvo" = "I roll"

Actually, "vulva" or "volva" is Latin for uterus, and "cunnus" is Latin for vulva. At least that's what wikipedia says...

Any superfans (like me) of the sadly departed Arrested Development will remember there's a couple of Volvo / vulva jokes between Michael and Lindsay (series 3 ep 1) when Lindsay has been sitting on the office photocopier to make copies of the car advert she's been looking at.

Man, I miss Arrested Development, a lot.

Please, let's not have an argument about Michael Moore. Although AD did do a joke about him as well...
