From that patent...
A method of inducing aerobic exercise in an unrestrained cat...

If he isn't trying to get the cat to exercise, he isn't infringing the patent. That's the thing about method claims - they're mostly sh*t.

That's the thing about US patent law - it's mostly total and utter sh*t.

If he's just trying to wind the cat up, no patent infringement has taken place. Good luck proving intent during a patent trial

It is a kitty!

So when reading this one, when the guy gets toasted I imagined him screaming a Wilhelm - anybody else do that?

Sure, if you want a blind cat, by all means.
I edit my posts a lot and sometimes the words wrong order words appear in sentences get messed up.

Redundancy is unacceptable. You must recat that statement immediately. 8)

Redundancy is the catalyst to an XKCD forum without substance, a forum where the educated people of this world explicate the catastrophic mess we often have here only to have their work catapulted away and crushed by a tidal wave of unsophisticated drones wanting only to tread all over the delicate egos of the loftier individuals here and to reeducate the populace with ideas of "1337" and "t0t4l pwn4g3", shunning the idea of normal communication and adopting a complicated lifestyle of reading capshuns from catalogs of the various internet phenomena, defecating on knowledge, and duplicating previous replies in the hopes that they will also be recognized as one of the horde and not eaten at birth like the pussycats they are.
/rant

Looking back, the application of "cat" and the complicated sentence structure was atrocious.

Or, in this case, "mew! mew!".

C'mon, folks, cat puns are still too easy. Every Tom, Dick, or Harry can do them by the pound (probably because every tom has a hairy -- no, I can't do it.) Anyone guilty of another cheap cat pun should be required to put a dollar in the kitty.

I laughed soooo much... It's great how simple little things like that can do that.
A neutron goes into a bar and asks the bartender, "How much for a beer?"
The bartender replies, "For you, no charge."
