Alt text: "'How about a little... *family growth*?' 'Dude, that's not until round two.'"

This has happened to me before, but with study groups.

This sounds like a porno gone horribly fantastically wrong.

I don't really understand this comic, which is too bad because I'm sure it's one of the funniest ones in a long time.

They're all classic/stereotypical porn setups, that seem to have happened all at once.

I signed up to this forum to make this very important observation.

Is that pizza guy holding the pizza SIDEWAYS?!

I think this is to porn what Outbreak was for zombie movies...

I'm calling it on a certain post on a certain blog in a certain few days.

Confusing set up, token nerd reference (agricola is a good game, by the way), unnatural and confusing dialogue (in some panels it is difficult to follow who is talking), the maid looks like she is wearing feather dusters. (Super ultimate bonus: alt-text tries to add another joke by referencing cliche pornographies, cleverly combined with a pun about the game).

I'm a bit confused by just who could have placed the call for pizza.

Definitely not my favorite comic, basically for the reasons listed above. I think Randall went for way too many things at once here.

Thats not really how these scenarios generally play out, its usually "Hi, did someone order any pizza?" "No, I don't remember ordering any pizza" "Well, thats a problem, because I've got this big, hot sausage.. pizza.. for you" and then it goes porn.

That pizza is so squished after panel 2.

So these Joneses actually scheduled to make three or four different pornos at about the same time and then didn't show up? Where's the lulz?

Excellent game. The "family" version is great on its own, and the 3 card decks it comes with are almost like getting 3 large game expansions included.

oh, and this comic was pretty good too.

I have a more startling observation:
Why is the pizza boy not got one of those hotboxes for the pizza? I used to do pizza deliveries, the closest I ever got to being in some pr0n scenarios was a bachelor party with this naked chick who offered me a beer.

I did not understand this comic.

Then I read the explanations here, and I realized I'm not supposed too.

Oh well.

Hmm, I kinda get the point (phlip's comparison to Outbreak is apt) but it didn't make me warm cheese.

I wonder if they're playing strip Agricola...

So:

French maid porn scenario
+
pizza guy porn scenario
+
plumber porn scenario

That's multiple genders, and I've yet to include the possible Agricola porn scenario....
we live in a beautiful world.

It isn't hugely funny, since these jokes have been done to death, but maybe there are three different Jones families who each had a porn scheduled?

This comic is confusing.

Who are the Joneses?
Who called for the plumber?
Where does that maid come from?
...
You rang?

Yes he is. Do you think a porn actor actually has any knowledge of the correct way to deliver pizza?

What still confuses me is that in the last panel, the maid (and possibly the plumber and the pizza boy) appear to be child-sized.. so maybe kids reenacting porn they saw, and then the parents come home?

*edit* ooh.. she's kneeling too,.. well maybe not child-sized then.. meh

This would have been funnier if it turned out that the Joneses had intentionally set up three escorts for teh lulz.

Eh, that's the point, yes. I expect Mr. Jones and the other Jones entering (be it Miss or Mrs) to expect some embarassing scene (with their escort / secret lover already being there), but not THAT 8)

I think part of what's being is missed is that in Agricola the sequencing of actions is critical. Maybe that aspect of the joke would have worked better with Caylus, another worker placement game, where sequencing is more subtle.

Yeah, but Caylus isn't as popular, as good of a game, or referred to in a previous xkcd comic.
