I used to think I was cool because I was doing 30 military style pushups a day and 100+ slow crunches...but I haven't done them in a long time now because it's hard waking up early, so I am no longer cool.

I'll take AGI/DEX over STR anyday. I've always loved the assassin classes. And I've already got enough INT to boot so I don't even really needa level that anymore.

You know what, that's a way for me to think about playing Pump or DDR...actually getting AGI and STA boosts! Sweet.

By the way, who's up to join me in designing a video game specifically meant to give STR boosts?

Fuck WIS.

I don't need mana regen when I can 1 hit anyone with my magic spells due to maxed INT.

I fence, so that gives me +3 DEX and weapon skills, and my guitar gives me +2 CHA. I'm workin' on the INT/WIS thing... having a hard time levelling up WIS.

It was the closest I'd come to exercising in months! Sweet! ;)

I can dodge that shit with AGI. Plus a mage won't last long with a knife in his throat.

I thought you were a mage? Besides there is a "protection from Normal" weapons a wizard might cast on himself. Incase your knife is magical there is protection from magical weapons too

I don't follow an archtype, I am just a person with really high INT and after working on my agi and dex I'll be able to just dodge then eviscerate and then devour the organs of any mages that try anything.

Oh boy, I forgot who said this, too busy laughing at later comments, but...
I would be willing to code something like that myself (and thus neglecting exercise - oh the irony)

It might not train your STR or CON, but surely it would give you INT bonuses!

I have to agree with the person who talked about preferring DEX and/or AGI over STR... my favorite types of characters to play in cRPG's are thieves, assassins, etc. In fact, the Thief series, though not strictly an RPG as most think of them, is one of my favorites because it emphasizes stealth over brute force.

I desperately need to do something about my poor WIS modifier. I seem to have a pitiful Sense Motive check and Search check, and I keep failing my Will saves for getting off of the computer and doing what I "ought" to be doing, like not staying up until four in the morning reading webcomics and posting to forums.

How do you train WIS-related skills?

Hmmm. That sounds scary. Let's try a different approach:

What's the worst possible thing someone trying to raise their WIS score could do? After all, you're only young once, but you can be immature forever.

Heh, I hate grinding for stats in RPGs as much as I do in real life.

I have very high base SPD, JMP, and AGI for a white guy though.

Oh, and I have a high INT stat at birth. But it's been wasting away due to video game playing.

I love this comic, because that's the thought process that gives me endurance when I go walking on a treadmill. Someday I would love to walk all around the country. It would be just like a MMORPG. I would be training my AGI while walking all those miles. Additionally, there would be an inn in every city in which I could save my progress and restore my HP.

Meh, my stats suck.

I started out with a +2 STR and CON bonus due to sheer body size, but being extremely untrained and sort of really chubby as of late, I've gotten a -1 CHA, -3 CON, -2 DEX and -2 STR to counter all that. I really should get into exercising again. I really ought to start exercising again.

So now my stats are

STR: 5
CON: 4
DEX: 3
PER: 8 (better than 20/20 vision)
INT: 8
WIS: 6
CHA: 4
LUK: 7 (I always find valuable stuff in the streets)

Well, as you grow older, your WIS increases. Die and get a druid to cast Reincarnation, causing you to come back into a young, healthy body, but keeping your unnamed WIS bonus due to age.

Of course, how to age 60 years quickly? A whole bunch of extended Time Stops perhaps?

they should have an online test kind of thing, where it tells you what your real D&D stats. would be.

For exercise these days I started taking Capoeira. I'm kind of terrified, but I love it so far. :-)
