In the long term yes, but what I mean is that some of the voters now probably feel betrayed by Trump and by showing that it isn't just Trump or McConnell they may vote against the republicans who refused to remove McConnell... the refuseniks :D (2.

Asked who in the White House is responsible for handling Giuliani’s missteps, a White House aide said, “Handling Rudy’s f--- ups takes more than one man.”

At last, evidence of teamwork and unity!

He also dismissed talk that he doesn’t grasp the facts. “I do have a mastery of the facts, which is why I can spin them honestly, argue them several different ways,” Giuliani said.

Giuliani blamed the media for the confusion, saying reporters are confused by his reliance on hypothetical arguments and take them literally.

“The problem is people don’t understand, or people don’t want to understand, alternative arguing, which is what you do in court all the time. People who want to understand it, do,” he said.

Arguing in the alternative is a legal concept involving the use of hypotheticals, although The New York Times gave no indication that is what Giuliani was doing when it reported on Saturday that he said Trump told him discussions about Trump Tower Moscow were “going on from the day I announced to the day I won.”

Just saw a few disturbing comments from a person named Jerry in the yahoo comments section. Links to yahoo comment section, so be careful:

Another comment from this person

"It is time for a civil war. Americans are dying and are victims of crimes created by illegals. It is past time to recognize that ALL democrats are the enemy of this country. They must be eliminated."

Not sure if:
+An isolated case
+An actual American
+A Russian PR agent

In any case it's worrying, but if it's isolated it shouldn't be a problem. He's posted many times about various stuff, so I don't know if he's for real or not.

Hum....?
Well....Forwarding the Thread with the offending Posts highlighted on to your friendly, local or regional F.B.I. Office is not as bad an idea as it might seem at first blush.

We have a Poster or two that, just, need to vent steam from Time to Time.
We know who they are and we ride their fits of Rage like ducks riding water.

If contacted by F.B.I. that truth would become apparent very quickly.
Same with your Civil War Poster. Is the Poster venting? Or; Dangerous?

Or; Is the Post coming from an outsider who is attempting to make life difficult for an on-line community?

(sigh...)
You have some deciding to do.

I once encountered someone on reddit who insisted that me being into guys makes me a pedophile that needs to be executed. It's reasonable to find this sort of thing disturbing, but also remember that the internet is full of awful people who say awful things. I wouldn't expend that much energy worrying about it.

Over 20 armed FBI agents showed up at Roger Stone's house to arrest him. Literally over night, several Republican leaders went from talking about the importance of supporting police and being hard on crime to whining about how over-zealous law enforcement personnel have become.

Seriously? Now you're worried about this? Because now it's affecting an old rich white man who shares your political views?

They haven't been trying ever since they begun backing Trump, as the daily hypocrisy was just far too obvious and glaring to defend. So they stopped trying to explain or defend it, descending into Orwellian double-speak seamlessly.

I just got an email from Donald J. Trump, asking me to answer a survey so that my responses can be used in the State of the Union Address.

I assume I got on this mailing list when I signed up for two tickets to a local Trump rally, so that my imaginary friend and I could stay home and contribute to a small crowd size.

Anyway, if anyone else would like to provide President Trump with helpful data for his State of the Union speech by answering scientifically rigorous survey questions like "Do you think the media did a proper job of blaming Democrats for the Shutdown?" and "Are you pleased that under President Trump, the U.S. is no longer shipping pallets of cash to the Iranian regime?", here's the link:

https://action.donaldjtrump.com/sotu-prep-survey

Fair warning: you'll probably be signing yourself up for some sort of watch list if Trump doesn't like your answers. At the end, it asks for your first name, last name, email, zip code, and mobile number (optional).

Or you can just read the questions and marvel at how outrageous the whole concept is. Starting with the fact that the survey is apparently only being sent to people assumed to be Trump supporters.

Question 2 is "Do you believe the media has painted a false image of what’s happening at our Southern Border?" and if I were to actually do this survey I would say "yes", but that's because I think the overall impression I get from the media on that topic is an overblown threat, even if it's not as overblown as Trump would like to make it.

I thought you might be exaggerating for effect, so I checked. Nope; these are all literal, directly quoted questions from the survey:
Do you think the media did a proper job of blaming Democrats for the Shutdown?
Are you pleased that under President Trump, the U.S. is no longer shipping pallets of cash to the Iranian regime?
Are you happier with President Trump’s first 2 years than Obama’s?
Do you agree with President Trump’s unwavering commitment to, and respect for, our incredible veterans and TROOPS?
In regards to the Shutdown, do you believe Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer care about the safety of you and your family?
Ladies and gentlemen: the President of the United States.

Selection pressures to find proof readers that think it does sound sane. Anyone that would object to the wording of those questions would be immediately ejected from the herd and left to fend for themselves in the wild where the poor and/or brown people would be able to take advantage of their solitude. Without the rest of the herd roaming packs of Democrats, and even the dreaded socialista/Bernitus could rip their tax shelters from them and eat their trust funds.
