Yeah, I just had that exact same thing come up. All the trained images are just derpy planes. Huh.

Also, if the trained images are what we're going by, I can draw decently well...there's some straight garbage here.

It asked me to draw "camouflage". I mean... I ended up drawing a pair of camouflage trousers and it worked, but still.

Round 1: Draw shark
Round 2: Draw flamingo
Round 3: Draw marker pen
Round 4: Draw dignity
Round 5: Draw peanut
Round 6: Draw skirt

It didn't recognise round 4, even though I drew it perfectly:

It also apparently has very different drawings for "phone" and "telephone".

This is quite fun. Got 3/6 the first time around, 4/6 the second and 6/6 the third. I am pretty terrible at drawing parrots and I am frankly amazed it recognized my scorpion:

I love the lede on that second article:
Five baby turtles kept safe by conservationists have been released back into the sea by Prince Harry.

Apparently, valiant conservationists vainly tried to protect these baby turtles against the evil prince Harry.

This is definitely the best picture of his visit that I've seen on facebook.

Prince Harry wishing he had an extra set of hands to more adequately hold his turtle hoard.

I guess the thing works because people messing with it will all draw different things so the only things consistently drawn in response are the actual things named, unless some group of reprobates gets together and draws "correct horse battery staple" for each instance of "screwdriver" and Megan for each instance of something else ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FwGmDhIMos

... and even to a natural intelligence, it's interesting to see what people consistently consider to be the main characteristics of a thing.

I still don't know how I'd draw "dignity" though.

The traditional Swedish giant Christmas goat in Gävle burned down in record time. The goat made of straw was destroyed in less than 24 hours after presented to the public. (Burning the goat is also a tradition, but not an officially sanctioned one.)

With how easily available powerful lasers are these days, I wouldn't be surprised if it went up in flames immediately after construction soon.

The Goat!
I Love The Goat!

Thank you, Sweden for building The Goat.
I hope we, humans, outgrow burning The Goat, one of these years.

p.s. @Arsons; Jeeze! On the First Day??!
We, the world, would like a little more Time with The Goat.

oh! oh!
Maybe, next year it will be of fire proof material that looks like straw.
Is that against Tradition?

That's an interesting idea. I think it would actually be hilarious if one year they made it out of a fireproof material without telling anyone, and watched the ensuing struggle.

I wouldn't mind too much about this as a vegetarian, but there are plenty of religious groups that would definitely be offended by it, and possibly prohibited by their faith to handle them.

Funny in a slightly WTF horrifying kind of way? Men (possibly hunters) load a (apparently gutted) deer into a shopping cart and take it into the vestibule of the local Walmart. Oh deer...

A theme park in Japan has closed a skating rink featuring frozen fish after receiving complaints that it was being "disrespectful" to animals.

Skaters could glide over 5,000 fish frozen in the rink's ice.

The park has since encountered a barrage of criticism online, and has apologised. It also said the fish were already dead when they were frozen.

General manager Toshimi Takeda told the AFP news agency the theme park would now hold a memorial ceremony for the fish.

That's true of vegans, but not really vegetarians who are still okay with things like eggs, dairy, etc. and many have no problem eating animal products like gelatin.

I guess it varies. The only vegetarian I currently regularly come into contact with doesn't eat eggs, so I assume he'd be wary of more things than the average vegetarian.

My friend who went through a vegetarian phase essentially operated on a "no unnecessary cruelty" principle - so milk and honey were fine, eggs were ok as long as they were free range (and he's found a brand of eggs where the chickens are one tenth as crowded as normal free range ones), gelatin was right out.

Apparently someone found it on the beach in Australia and gave it to the police worried it might be indicative of a homicide or suicide.

The part of my mind always on the lookout for conspiracies thinks this was deliberate and that the goal was to force more people to not use cash so that they can be more easily tracked, and more easily manipulated into spending money if negative interest rates start to be a thing in the UK.

Police are looking for a thief who managed to carry an 86lb bucket of gold flakes worth $1.6m off a truck in New York.

Surveillance video showed the theft happened in just 20 seconds while the armoured truck was briefly unattended.

The man struggled to carry the gold, taking an hour to lug his loot on a usually 10-minute walk, footage showed.

Authorities believe the man is hiding out in Florida's Orlando or Miami area, but he is still at large.

Breitbart at 'war' with Kellogg's over advertising snub
The BBC wrote:The right-wing website Breitbart, which has been accused by some of being a hate site, is calling for a boycott of Kellogg's products after the cereal maker pulled its advertising from the news outlet.

Using the hashtag #DumpKelloggs to promote a petition through social media, Breitbart is urging its readers to "ban bigotry from the breakfast table".
There's a certain amount of freedom involved in cycling: you're self-propelled and decide exactly where to go. If you see something that catches your eye to the left, you can veer off there, which isn't so easy in a car, and you can't cover as much ground walking.
