### An Interesting Hypothesis

So...

Johnny has been considering the following function. In particular, he has proven that all non-trivial zeroes of this function lie on the line x = 1/2 in the complex plane x + yi. How has he done so?

The first individual to come up with a fully satisfactory answer may create the solution thread. Do not do so until your answer is complete. You have three days.
