Also a couple people did not post who their Santa was (or used their real-life name instead of their fora name) so if you guys could please find the fora name, that would be great! This is just to make sure we account for everyone. Thanks! [if you are wondering if this includes you, please check the bottom of the OP; also please check to make sure I caught whether you posted "sent" confirmation or you receieved your package, and who it was from]
milk from space is good for you!

So I went out to mail mine today at the post office. When i came home, there was a suspicious looking package at my door. Thinking quickly, I was about to detonate it in a field for safety's sake when I thought, silly me, that's from my Secret Santa! So I brought it inside. And it was delicious. Pictures shortly.

Here's a screenshot of the post-ordering page as of today. I think half of it shipped and they're working out the other half at the moment.

When will my gift arrive at my secret santee? I really hope the package I need to pick up at the post office isn't the one I sent, returned...

Glad you liked the cookies. Everyone I know who's had them loved them. Even had someone at work last year tell me they never cared for gingerbread, but loved these. Have to bake a few more dozen this weekend to hand out to people at work. Also sent some to ex-roommate and her sister, as well as send some to a former co-worker. Took a fifth tin to the dentist's office.

I sent mine out several days ago, I just keep forgetting to upload photo proof (which I will do within a day).

I'm super-bummed because I just learned that the housing office at my complex is closing from the 19th until after Christmas, so I'm hoping my package (the one being sent to me) will make it or be held in some nice fashion by the shipping company until they can deliver it instead of returned to sender. *worry worry*
There's a method to my madness. Somewhere. Don't worry, I'll find it!

Got a text from my mum this afternoon saying that my present has arrived. Since I used my parent's address and not my own (to make sure there'd be someone to collect the package) I won't actually be able to open it until Sunday so pictures should be posted sometime around Sunday or Monday.

I think you're the second or third person who's said that in relation to my mad cooking skillz. I remember several years ago at a company I worked at through a temp agency, I had taken in a pan of homemade (as in measure out flour, sugar, cocoa powder, etc.) brownies my grandma wanted me to get rid of. She was (A) diabetic, and (B) had kidney failure, so she was not allowed any kind of chocolate. I think I'd jump off a bridge if my doctor told me I couldn't have chocolate anymore. What's the point of living?

I had coated the brownies with no-bake fudge, and had to refrigerate them to get the icing to harden. Cutting one revealed a little brownie with your icing. Pop that bad boy in the microwave and nuke until the icing melted, and OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM...

When a couple of people at that company tried them, one of them asked me "What the hell are you doing working here?! You should be running a bakery!"

If I could afford it, I'd buy one of the vacant small buildings that's just around the corner from my house and set up a bakery. If you came in wearing a beret, you'd get a free cookie or some other small item.

My mom has volunteered to bake the few dozen I had planned to do this weekend, tomorrow. That will give me more time to decorate them over the weekend. Need to show her which shapes I use. I have a whole bucket o' cookie cutters, but I only use about half of them. Still have about a dozen left over from last weekend I didn't decorate, mainly because I ran out of icing, ran out of time, and after having done enough for the five tins, said "screw it."

Which is probably why I wouldn't want to run a bakery. I'd have to do it. All. Day. Long. Would get tiresome after a while, unless I hired some help. One thing I had envisioned, if I do ever own a bakery, was to talk with the Home Ec teacher at the local high school, and ask him/her if I hired any students, would she give them extra credit or would she apply my evaluating their work performance to their class grade. Talk about having the ultimate answer to the age-old question "When am I ever gonna have to use this stuff?", often associated with maths.

I just got my gift.

After returning from the bar I saw a package. I instantly forgot everything, ran to it, uncovered it and read the address.
"Joey Haas"

:D Hells yeah, let's open this bitch up.

Inside was a letter with... a message. Basically the present was done in three parts.
First were two types of 'igenous' (Igneous :P) American rocks. They seem to pop.

Looking inside, I found pop rocks :D. POPPING FUN TIME.
Now, we don't really have pop rocks in the Netherlands, but we have cheap candy that is similar.
It's still very much awesomeness.

second part is a CD. I'll come back to this one later. It's said to contain music with elements I like.

Third part, the most awesome part, is a plush doll of Cthulhu. Personally I found this one fucking awesome. You haven't failed me as a secret santa :P

Thank you, crucialityfactor!

About the CD, I really liked most of the songs. Although some of the songs sucked IMO. Well, you can't have it all. Is it your band or something? You guys make cool music :D

My gift arrived a couple days ago as I was running out the door. It's now been sitting, unopened, in with my laptop while it traveled an extra 600km or so with me. The suspense is really starting to get to me. I'll get photos of it up tonight, as well as proof of my non-deadbeat-santa-status, but I thought I'd make sure my Santa knew it had arrived.

EDIT: As promised, all kinds of photos. Warning - very picture heavy. I went a little overboard.
The Gift:
Spoiler:
A package with a stick-santa. Only one thing this could be!
Image
It must be opened, and quickly!
Image
Many good things come in a small package, it seems
Image
It's a Duck!
Image
She (?) seemed to bond well with the others
Image
Further study revealed she's actually a mutant, colour changing duck! Awesome!
Image
Also, an epic hat. Yes, those are XKCD comics on a hat. I'm trying to find a printer large enough to make one that will fit my head now.
Image
Also to be found: A lego placard(?) It actually arrived slightly worse for wear, but, being lego, was quickly returned to top form. Yay Lego!
Image
Impressively, it's doublesided, as well.
Image
Finally, some incredibly, exceedingly good mint dark chocolate. Even better, it's fair trade! Did I mention it's really, really good?
Image
One last thing - a note. A cryptic note.
Image
After launching me on a wild cyberchase through intensive button clicking and ancient Korea, however, I did discover my Secret Santa*.

THANK YOU!

*I'm not mentioning the identity here yet. If my secret santa is OK with it, I'd love to post the actual link :)

Ah awesome, you are quite welcome. I was afraid it wouldn't get there until after XMas.

Each song on that cd is by a different band. I tried to put a variety of stuff on it because I wasn't sure which you would and wouldn't like.

A letter, carefully distinguished from the padding material, a very well-loved book, which I look forward to reading, a cool little piece of art from Tokyo, and a big jar of Tahini(spelling?). (when my Mom saw the Tahini, she was really excited. Apparently, she really likes it.)

Wow. This was pretty awesome.

I have to admit I find something strangely awesome about that.

Also, I love seeing everyone's posts - there's such a huge variety in what people have recieved and how people went about this, it's pretty near to see. Kind of like our little display of diversity.

I still don't have the pictures, as I don't have a camera. I used my roommates, now I just need to get them. Now that I mention it, I haven't even seen them, as they were mostly taken by my roommate.

THANK YOU!

Glad you liked it :-)
The URL in the rather cryptic note is http://tinyurl.com/phoenixenigma now I'm going to go and watch the web server logs to see how many visitors the page gets. Muhahahahaha

I'm visiting Montreal right now--but I'm leaving a note here because I've been told my package has arrived at home (Toronto) so I wanted to put my unknown santa at ease that it had arrived.

I've only got the motor apparatus together so far. I'm so scattered, easily distracted. I'll get there eventually. And then, RAPTOR! eeeeeee

Glad you like it. It's probably the coolest thing I've seen at the store I work at.

In other news, what did you think of the music?

Finally got home, still not sure who my Secret Santa was--(signed anonymously, will have to investigate), but the gift was fantastic.

Contents:

Green angry lion pouch with some Aussie currency.
Scented mini highlighers.
Tiny fountain pen--super cute!
Purple Pig eraser
Mysterious note.

Photos later, love it.
Thanks kk, whoever you are.

How are you sending it so it gets to the recipient before Xmas?
