For I have come again in Glory...

Postby Belial » Wed Jul 07, 2010 12:54 pm UTC

...which might be a bit TMI. To distract you, I have some movie reviews:

The Living: While I appreciate the "everyone sits about and has a conversation about IMPORTANT THINGS" genre of low-budget film as much as the next guy (assuming the next guy also feels sort of lukewarm about them, but hasn't yet offered to switch the DVD), I feel like this one was a bit...unnecessary. Pretentious, and the performances were unimpressive. And when your plot basically hinges on a bunch of people sitting around a hospital talking, you kindof need good performances from the actors. Special effects sure as fuck aren't carrying it for you. Still, it wasn't awful. I give it four wooden nickels and a backpack full of gerbils.

The Dead: Remember that genre I mentioned above? Imagine it kindof old and irish and originally written by James Joyce. And directed by someone who knew how to direct. The performances are more inspired, the writing more interesting, and the pretense slightly less pretentious. Not an entirely uninteresting way to kill a couple hours. I give it 3 donuts and a moaning human heart that whispers to you about the worst day of your life.

Anyway, so that's what I've got. Hey y'all. What'd I miss?

Shro and Jacque got married, had 17 kids, got divorced, reconciled, remarried, and are on their second honeymoon in the Vega system.

Sungura finally bred lops capable of wielding switchblades and has made a killing in the nerd boy and telemarketer markets.

Lolsaur still goes by Baldur

keozen and Zohar started an internet barber shop. I have no idea how it works, but apparently the results are stylish and modern, but always purple. Something about not being able to get the photons to line up any other way or something, I got confused and stopped paying attention.

The Octarine Wars recently ended when the Moderators General agreed to a cease fire on the condition that the Magistrates allow them access to the bathrooms and one-half of the cafeteria. As none of us do any moderation at all in a centralized location, this confused the Magistrates long enough for Hodge to remind us all that none of this actually happened, including his reminder. This just confused everyone, so we all went home which is where we already were, so yay expediency!

RG has left and returned often and randomly enough that they now say that if you go into a bathroom at midnight, lock the doors, turn off the lights, light a single candle and say "RealGrouchy" three times, he'll appear and smack you for being stupid.

Bakemaster baked a cake so large that not even he could bake it.

I think that covers it.
