Really? That's how practically all of my guy friends hug, no joke.
I wanted to see the universe, so I stole a Time Lord and ran away. And you were the only one mad enough.

No doubt this has been mentioned many times before, but...

if our meeting time is at 3pm, that means that you arrive at 3pm. You don't leave home at 3pm. >_>

If the meeting time is at 3 PM, then you should arrive by 2:45 PM at the very latest. You should already be in place ready to start the meeting at 3 PM.

It's great when users who claim that they take care of computer issues at home, and it'd be great if we gave them admin rights, worry that I'm installing a trojan on their computer because I'm installing java, and java comes up on all the websites that give them trojans at home.

If you can't trust your IT staff to take care of your computer, you do not need admin rights.

The instructions for fixing it should consist almost entirely of "Find either a pair of scissors, or a hammer. Apply tool to either modem cable or modem as appropriate." Or forehead, for a slightly messier, but just as effective, outcome.

Excuse me?

If you're asking for context, there are several individuals at my school who do extremely awkward man hugs. They squeeze tight and HOLD ON in upwards of ten seconds. They don't lean in with their chests, they literally bend backwards so that you are being forcefully pulled against their manly parts. It is a psychologically disturbing scenario best left for the most surreal corners of my nightmares.

1. The male equivalent of witch.
2. (obsolete) A traitor or oath-breaker.
3. (obsolete) The Devil, Satan; a demon.
4. (originally Scotland and Northern UK) A man in league with the Devil; a male magic-user, a wizard.

Words. They mean lots of things. Apparently a Warlock is a wizard! I learned something!

Let's see, Harry Potter uses 'witch' for female and 'wizard' for male. Sabrina the Teenage Witch uses 'witch' for all genders. Wizards of Waverly Place uses 'wizard' for all genders. Buffy the Vampire Slayer uses 'witch' for female and 'warlock' for male. Any other combination out there?

I'm pretty sure Buffy used Witch for both sexes. A male witch does get called a warlock, but its pointed out that its wrong. As far as i can remember.

Discrimination is prejudice plus power. Therefore it's not reverse, it's just sexism or racism. This explains it.

In this case it's sexist because you wouldn't want to equate men with what those horrible women are doing (being witches). Because a man being like a woman would emasculate him and that is the most awful thing in the world, because women are horrible. Sexist!

Dresden Files uses wizard as gender neutral, and witch as female-specific. But plenty of females go by the wizard title too, and use of witch is mostly a stylistic choice for certain practitioners.

Not if we're talking about Discworld, where generally, if a determined witch decides you'd make a good apprentice and eventually a good witch, they will make it happen whether you are particularly fond of the idea initially or not. Where wizards need to apply to enter a university for official qualification, witches can really only learn the craft well if an individual older witch decides they're worthy. So within that universe's cultural rules, the lack of male witches really isn't entirely about a scorn for femininity and witching so much as it's about the expectations of older witches in relation to witching, wizarding and gender.
