I'm just gonna jump in here and say...since I'm a jerk but perfectly fine with that...

A hell of a lot of bots of all these odd types get put on this forum. To deal with that, most of us use each new poster's first few posts as a variant on the Turing test. Pass: person. Fail: probably a bot. Thing is, it's not our fault if somebody fails said test.

puppylovers, I put a whole explanation of what must have happened in the other thread Katherine started, so I suggest you read through that and figure out where the misunderstanding lies before coming here and attacking us.

Awww, thanks guys, up until the part where no-genius was just about to make it about boobs. But really, I just start sounding rational when I'm really worked up. Defensive mechanism from high school where it was consistantly implied I was not on par with everyone else. :P

Aw, I'm sorry hermaj. I guess i just can't avoid them? They're there everywhere I look, even when I close my eyes I can't get away from them.... Nah, I guess it just amuses me to mention them every now and then.

Also if there was a thread about your boobs, it would be an awesomesaucy type of thread.

Wow, I've missed all of this drama, but I think I'm glad. Kudos to those who kept a level head, kudos to those who made harsh but oh so hilarious comments and kudos to those who contributed by not posting and making this thread larger than it needed to be.

...I think this post fails on all three counts.

I think I missed most of the drama too. But that's ok, I was mentioned enough to be a passive participant. I'm a little sad I slept through marriage proposals and such though :P

I do not like reading things that have atrocious spelling and grammar. Just to get my side of that in there.

Correct - She doesn't know us. A word about forum etiquette: I suggest she shouldn't have bothered posting in the first place. Would you walk up to a group of people you didn't know and start spouting off about something completely random and unrelated to those people, without even saying hello or introducing yourself?

It baffles me a bit how people can be so starved for attention that they join random forums just to mouth off their ideas to people they don't know. Do they just come here to pick a fight? If you're so upset about something, make yourself useful and write to your local government, or do something else productive with your energy. Or maybe take a look at yourself, and ask yourself if you're acting like a fool.

PS. Take everything seriously on the internet. :P

I am sure you could try that. Like I said in the other thread, why doesn't Katherine (I know you already have) post a little bit about herself in the introductions thread, and just go with the flow on a few topics - that way she, and you as well, could get a bit of a feel for it here and decide whether or not you want to stay. I am definitely prepared to get over it and welcome you to the forums; that said, I can't presume to speak for everyone here. All I can say is, from where I stand, you're as welcome as anyone to try out the forums and see how you go.

I'm still not convinced that either of these people is not a bot. Especially puppylover. I'm always skeptical of people who resort to the logical fallacy of "reference to cuddly animals".

No, but both no-genius and I are registered on Truth and Beauty Bombs, which is(among other things) the Dinosaur Comics forum(no-genius under his own name and me under alteran), so there is overlap.
