Well that's partly why she may be said. I think randall specifically uses faceless stick figures because its more identifiable. And its been brought up that maybe she said because people can relate to sadness. After all everyone is sad sometimes... and time is sad. always moving forward never being able to do anything but look at the past.

I'm reminded of an old screen saver, "Johnny Castaway". He'd wander around his tiny little desert island doing the same 6 things over and over.
BUT If you watched it for a long while, you would see him do something he had never done before, AND if you watched it for weeks you would see different new things creep in every once in a while.

DEFINITELY A NEW TIME PERIOD!!!! This puts an end to the snow theory (sorry guys). Does this mean the newpix are going to be coming to an end soon? are they going to swim off into the edge of the frame and call it a comic? I think it's too soon to end it now...

Snow could be the justification for no obvious change in time-of-day.... they are at a latitude (in their world) that is currently continuously day (or night) (at their current Time of year).
Nevermind, unless they are those crazy polar swimmers...

I'd just like to point out that just because they said "Wanna swim?" does not necessarily mean that it's water. It could be any liquid, including a lake of coffee. Or "swim" could be a euphemism for something else!

I highly doubt that, those structures imply sandcastles, sandcastles imply a beach, beaches imply water.

Can I suggest a change to the wording? Please make it "I'm waiting for it" (And of course, no end date.)

I feel like if there's going to be merch for this wonderful productivity killer, the image doesn't work too well on a shirt. Maybe magnets, or posters?

T-shirts with an inlaid flexible e-ink display, showing the whole thing over and over and over?

Only if it moves as slowly as this comic! You'd have to wear the same shirt for days! Fun!

Yes, it must update on Time time, otherwise it wouldn't be the proper experience.

So, does this mean that it really is sand? I cant imagine they'd swim in freezing water, but there are people who do. Not to mention that its exceedingly cold most places. Does this also mean that this comic does not take place in March 2013? Or are they somewhere near the equator? So many new developments!

Something just dawned on me. So I had actually forgotten my username on here - I don't remember how I chose it, but it's certainly not because I'm a Hootie and the Blowfish fan. I think I saw the name on some other forum and it made me chuckle, so I stole it. Anyway, earlier in the thread, some posters were quoting the song "Time" by that band, but I had forgotten my username and it didn't dawn on me that clearly this comic is in some strange way an homage to me!
