I was on an iPad earlier. just set the speed slow enough, I guess. Other than that, there's not much you can do.

How far? Memory. Radio station logs (I date myself) were two pages an hour, be sure there are at least 336 pages for the coming week, or make more.

A lot of people seem to really doubt how complex a structure you can make from sand. If the sand sculpture pic posted a while back wasn't enough to convince you, look at some of the sand casting videos on Youtube. Admittedly it's a particular type of sand that holds together better, but you can mold a complex shape, and then just flip the whole thing upside down and it holds. 100% overhang. The stuff sets like a kind of soft sandstone, and you have to deliberately crumble it to get it back to sand.

Also, on the prediction thing, if this goes on long enough, I'd love to see one of them walking down the beach, finding rocks, laying them out in a pattern, using that pattern to create a computing device, etc, etc...
If someone's already discussed comic #505, I must have missed it in the last 16 posts (in base 4400 notation)

So Cueball's removing the flag from Megan's tower...

If he is planning on connecting the two castles, it'll prevent him toppling it if he reverses into the tower and accidentally destroys it, or he could be planning to adjust its height.

It's now gone midnight over here, so I'll see you all again in about 14NP (and probably a similar number of new pages...)

Both the flag and the ground are black. Presumably it blends in quite nicely. Otherwise, he could've put it behind one of the structures.

I wondered about this a while back:

"I like the idea of it turning out to be recursive sandcastle building: Build one small castle, build a second, build a larger one in between that turns it all into a bigger one. Build a second castle comparable in size to the first one. Then build in between them to make it all into one even bigger castle. And so on."

"The Castle of Hanoi, anyone?"

Oh man, I laughed way too hard at that. Just the thought of stumbling across this thread years from now, randomly coming to this page first and seeing that question... that will happen eventually, and they will think you are some weird jerk, but we all know the truth. This community has created a situation in which asking someone if they want semen with their caffeinated drink actually makes sense. Yay for inside jokes.

My pet theory, with the introduction of comic 1191, is that Black Hat Guy is going to come into the picture and destroy the sand castle.

I haven't found any correlation yet. However, here's a thought that crossed my mind. What if the flags relate to binary code. The towers representing bits and the flags representing 1's and 0's. Run with it. I'm just putting it out there.

I am aware of the notion of the castles being connected being mentioned intermittently, rather than discussed at length. It is likely that you have been following more closely than I, since I had to do a lot of skimming to catch up.
