Methinks he should have made the arches a little smaller. Everything else has held up surprisingly well considering it's just sand (remember everyone, Occam's Razor). What happens when it dries out?

So the explainxkcd wiki is down after the hard drive filled up. We uploaded too many images. Urrrrrrp.

Plus all the edits and meta stuff around the images that sent the wiki belly-up, and the fact that it's probably going into swap space to handle all the requests it's getting.

The slightest bump or gust of wind will send it crumbling.
Considering the lack of flag movement, though, looks like wind isn't an issue.

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone didn't miss a single TimeFrame of sleep last night. (or newpix for our European crowd)

Cueball is obviously trying to bridge the gap between his two "lives" with Megan: the two sand castles they built together. Although, perhaps he doesn't realize, she did most of the building. He's not as good a builder as she is. It could be that most of their relationship was built by her and he just followed along because he just wanted to be a part of her life (think about she: she starting building sand castles first). This makes it twice now that she's decided to leave and he's left to pick up the crumbling pieces himself. But this is the first time he's actually built on top of the foundations of the sand castles already there. Is he moving on?

The other comics didn't come this fast...

I agree. The update rate is too fast. Can somebody make a version of the comic that updates more slowly? Say once every octapix? Should be fairly easy for the might Aubron.

And the arches remind me of a Roman aqueduct. Supplying water from one castle to the other, perhaps?
