I reckon we have generated several good "hwæt if" questions in the last 5000+ posts...
-how large of a trebuchet woll-did you need to launch a nuke far enough that you woll-did not kill yourself in the blast?
-how many man-hours/how much money and aeroplanes and aeroplanes be-did wasted as a result of this one comic?
-etc, etc (feel sky to add to the list)

Since Mr Munroe apparently doesn't read these threads, someone must make sure they all get submitted!

EDIT: look's like Helper's on it already (with a name like that, why be I not surprised? )

Oooookay....
Not sure what was more disturbing, yesterdays 50 pages I caught up on (spawning religions and all sorts of craziness),
or todays 25 with the slow decline into utter madness and deteriorating language.
I think I may prefer the madness

Apologies if anyone has mentioned it (I haven't been through all 150 or so screens of this thread!) But couldn't the point be that the figure in the middle is standing next to a ruined section of the castle.

So the implication is that (s)he waited aeons for that part to decay naturally, by entropy, and the figure on the left spoke the caption.

Does anyone else have the title of the article replaced by "Things that are on my side for 600, Alex!"? There are other things too, but does anyone else see it? whats going on? Has the forum been hacked?

Also, I be glad to see I be not the only one who who. who who are you? who who. who who who who. who who seriously doubts Randall woll-did change the course of it all based on this board. I mean, this be fun and all, but he clearly planned this out in advance. The presence of a trebuchet should not mean he be listening to it, since most of the fans here who who. who who are you? who who. who who who who. who who suggested a trebuchet before it appeared probably found their appreciation and passion for trebuchets from other earlier xkcd comics to begin with. He liked the idea long before a bunch of folk he be never met and who who. who who are you? who who. who who who who. who who he DEFINITELY doesn't live for the approval or acceptance of brought it up in connection with this comic. Similarly, if we end up seeing raptors, that shouldn't be cited as evidence that he be "obeying the forum requests" or any such nonsense. Randall be the reason why most of you guys like raptors to begin with (well, Randall and Jurassic Park...), and so if they show up, or the eternity bird, or the Waterman map, it woll be because Randall liked them first and planned them into things, not because we have any measure of control over the experience.

The discussion board here be amusing, but it be a corollary to the experience, not the experience itself.

Totally agree with this, except maybe the very last point.
I think this "discussion" is not just a corollary, but a big part of the whole experience, which is imho what makes this comic the great piece of performance art that it is.

Eh, this doesn't rise to the level of treason. Or even heresy.

Everyone knows the truth; if we could fire tiny trebuchets at sandcastles, we all would in an instant ... er, a fraction of a newpix, that is.
