She does appear to be doing something with the sand. her left (or right, from our perspective) arm ends at the top of a small pyramid of sand, the same height as the battlements.
Could someone put up an analysis of the changed pixels?

I've been thinking of them as being on the opposite side of the castle from the viewpoint of each frame. After all, she recently ducked down behind the castle. If she had been on the same side as the frame viewpoint, we would have seen her head.
Also, these 'STAR DATE 2245s are nesting inside each other. I love it.

I think it's strange that the image I see in the browser has a different url to the one shown on Aubron's web page:
xkcd: f8b1ca928e8027868ff903f12f9a3e7396314a8cd13a5c7e8a724c6f718b324e.png
aubron: a0912d58db16574d7defdfeda6f4dbb820986d0e6fb38e793e62f8da5b151d98.png
These are both for image 255, and were posted (theoretically) at the same time (ie, not a newpix [1/2 hour] apart).

Maybe different images are being served up depending on things like user-agent string, or something else? Has anyone tried viewing the comic in a few different browsers to see if the url to the image is the same (or different) in all of them?

I picked it up from the first frame, but didn't wait a full newpix before going to bed. I tracked down the forum in the forum and followed this thread up to about page 90 before I decided to periodically check in; I downloaded the Android App so I can keep up with the changes.

Apologies if this has been mentioned in the past 30 pages, but what would be REALLY nice for the Droid app is a flip-book of the images. That way you could flip back through a few frames to see what was missed (or to compare changes). It would be awesome if there was a mobile-friendly of the Aubron Wood page that would take touch-screen inputs vs. keyboard controls, but that may be stretching beyond the technology he's using.

Tim Hortons ftw

Tim Hortons? Never heard of them. I prefer Dutch Bros. Or (far more often) homemade quadruple-strength drip coffee. No cream, no sugar. I'm freaking hardcore, mang.

Oh well. At least we still have our sandcastle.

I think she's doing some Mount Rushmore type thing in the middle there.

Or is going to build a large, central tower up, and then flatten the sides, to avoid Cueball's earlier tumble.

Tim Hortons is a popular coffee and donuts and other delicious things franchise in Canada. It's one of the few large Canadian companies, and it is named after a hockey player, so we're pretty proud of it, eh. I only drink it if I'm travelling, if I'm at home strong, black, perc is the stuff for me.

How can we tell if she's making Mount Rushmore or just a dome?

Cardinal Buffygirl it be. I so decree.

Thank you, I accept. I be now Timewatcher Cardinal Buffygirl. Yay me!

EDIT: ACK ACK! Some evil creature took over my hands! Timewaiter! Timewaiter! I Wait For It!

Alas, the requirements for cardinalship (cardinaldom?( be against me. I ken-did I shoudn't have go-done to the effort of figuring out the password for my 80000 timeframes-old account and just made a new one.
tin I be an ordinal instead?

I have all the requirements! The problem is that we haven't a Pope yet. Well, since I already self-nominated myself Prefect of the "Congregatio pro Doctrina Temporis", I could aswell become the Pope too ^^

Ahh, you're a Moose-folk Canadian. That explains it .

I swear, there's nothing more depressing than drinking black coffee in a house full of creamer-drinkers: "Eww, gross. How can you stand to drink that crap? What's the point of coffee without creamer? You're a weirdo. You should just kill yourself."

Can't. But looks too lumpy to me. I suspect a centerpiece. Or a Pièce de résistance.

Okay, this is just weird, I thought I had figure out the pattern. The explanation was simple, the actual web page xkcd.com/1190 showed one image url, and the img source http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/time.png would redirect you to another url, but the same image. Initially that's how it was working, but on this update (256), I am getting two different images, look here:
xkcd.com/1190 shows:
http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/time/89fbcd ... fd2611.png
and this one http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/time.png redirects me to:
http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/time/9ca751 ... 1ebdfe.png
This seems to be an image from the future! Albeit, probably just one frame into the future, but still, wonky!

Now for my theory. If this is a tie-in with Game of Thrones, I bet dragons will show up, torch part of the castle, but Megan and Cueball will ward them off with the might of their indomitable trebuchete!

My grandparents drink it black so I kind of feel like an old person when I do.

Also, my frame just changed back again. Another glimpse into the future?

Newpix three(?), about 1:15 am. I thought The Mighty Randall was late, and had put up a filler that would go way in a while. In a very strange way, I was correct in that belief.

I was wondering, assuming the time between two frames inside the Time world was constant before the weekend (and I know perfectly that I shouldn't assume that), is it still constant or has it sped up as the outsider time?

EDIT: while I'm at it, I will also link the bumping list http://xkcd-time.wikia.com/wiki/Useful_external_links
