And there be no comic today? ic'm frightened, friends.

Yes, it be been troubling me too. But ic have faith in Great overlord Randall, for ic have seen other times before the Beginning of Thing that keeps slippin' (slippin', slippin') into the future, when swich be-did the magnificence of his latest masterpiece that it be-did, well, late.

So, be the quote Zul-Gurub the April Fool's joke? be all references to the 4pr1l F00l's jok3 being removed by the instant?

It's been mod fun for a few days now. It confuses me though, as it only changes when you quote?

I feel like filter coffee now.

So are we still in the era of the Longpix? I'm half expecting there to be a massive reveal at somepoint today.

It did, but they're still not connected.

Checking out the current frame, I'm going with volcano too, for now.

It was a bit disappointing to see the frame is still only updating every hour. [sorry, guys, too tired to use the newspeak.]

I don't think it's just you. I see all the times as actually being my own local MST, but they're labelled as UTC for some reason. And this predates the Madness, as far as I know, so probably not deliberate.

Added: Of course, you might be talking about some completely different timey-wimey thing, in which case, never mind.

ic don't reckon it be just eow. ic see all the times as actually being my own local MST, but they be labelled as UTC for some reason. And this predates the RECKONING, as far as ic ken, so probably not deliberate.

Same here, although I didn't notice until yesterday, as before that, my time zone was UTC.

Jesus guys, this thread doesn't stop... can someone catch me up... so far I have figured out thatttt

1. The RECKONING/madness thing is something by mods that is a little wacky where they mess with word filters but on this thread it only affects quotes and sigs but for the rest of this place it affects everything?

2. We are down to one newpix an hour instead of 30 mins? Someone mentioned slower or longer newpix? (Nupix?)

3. This religion thing has gotten waaaaaaaay out of hand now

4. Megan has been building this mound for TWO DAYS

5. It's past midnight Randall's time on April 1st and no April Fools joke (as of yet) ... however also no new comic/xkcd April Fools??

... I can't believe this thread has doubled in size over the easter weekend, man. MADNESS!!!!

Actually, looking it over, it looks a lot like Time was, indeed, a testing ground for today's strip. Externalities uses very similar JavaScript to generate and update the info in the comic, including the same servers, which might explain that weird testing around 6 or 7 hours ago, I think.

It seems like an error in editing (I blame the guy who spell checked it) changed pope candidates to cardinals.

Oh what I miss over the weekend.

Pretty well summed up right there.

But no bad mouthing the new religion we have a pope now and he can probably smite things.... Its a little weird but I for one embrace our new popey overlord.

Ahhh yay!! A familiar face :) - makes me happy!! :)

I plan on keeping up with this thread for today!! It's bank holiday, and I have no plans, and I am massively hungover. And this is a good time waster/filler :D

New comic is weirrrrrdddd ... I like it though, just dissapointed that I missed the smaller dogs... but enough about that, what about 'Time'?

I just wish I knew why they/he made a nupix longer. Was there any need for it? Is he just lengthening the joke (doubt it, just draw more frames?)? did he miscalculate the timings (doubt it, not like him?)? Is he just messing with us (likely, tbh!)? Or is it some kind of server/coding/whatever error/fault/issue (likely, since these things do happen...)?

Good to see you back. :) A good night then was it? I'd kill for a beer right now. grrrr.

It switched to the new longer newpix at exactly midnight on Friday/Saturday I think which suggests it was planned. But who can be sure.
She has been building this... uhhh.... lump for quite some time. At the same time Cueball has gone AWOL and could be anywhere. Although I am going for building a bigger trebuchet/catapult/slingshot/railgun than the tiny (Although cute) siege weapon we saw the otherday.

New Cueball suggestion: Many of us have played Scorched Earth or its derivatives, right? Maybe he's off getting a Hedgehog or something like that.
P.S. I am Randall, but not that Randall.

A good weekend, to be honest. Three nights on the trot with days inbetween have completely ruined me for today now. But yeah. Good night.

Interesting that it switched at exactly midnight. Still not convinced it's purposeful, why would he do that? Why not just draw more frames? Or maybe he knew by this point that people would be losing jobs and wives over this thing (my boyfriend has given up trying to roll his eyes at me as a way of getting me to stop reading this thread/checking the comic) and so decided there had to be a point where people could follow it properly and still function in the outside world?

Now I have said that, it seems like a little bit of a daft thought... but who knows?

My guess is that Megan will that to chip away at the lump to make an intricate structure now (as we were discussing pages and pages back, where they make a lump of sand and carve out from the top down) ... she always has been the better sandcastle builder, and this is taking her longer than usual. Fingers crossed.

... and yeah, my money is on mega-trebuchet :D - though I kind of want a cannon, next!!
