Re: 1190: "Time"
The timerate here is starting to look similar to the early building (after the very first, tiny tower was finished, when they were expanding).
Edit for specificity: Newpix 40-44 specifically. Thanks to the Book of Aubron.

A plot of the great Blitzgirls epic quest.
She seems to have lost some speed compared to the early days of the quest but still makes steady progress. The updates have been coming more an more often which is of course a great joy to us all. Based on her recent progress I project that the great meeting will take place somewhere around NewPage 430.
Keep going Blitzgirl. Don't lose speed now, the future is Waiting!

Sorry caption included now.
The line represents no Time lag (Blitzgirl Time = Present Time). I did not put my best fit line on the plot to avoid obscuring the points.

This last update shows another pixel of the castle being washed away as it gets undermined. It will be interesting to see if the water level will get high enough to be seen though the archway/hole in the castle before the first tower goes down completely.

As much as it takes.
Also, we could go back to the idea that, while we see only four beams holding up the platform, there are beams just behind them adding stability to the structure.

She is currently nominated for the position of Mome. And, none of her current titles precludes her from becoming a Mome, so I see no reason to panic.

I've finally decided to make a return to the glorious thread. I am glad to see Time is still moving on and we are all still waiting for It. I've skimmed through the few hundred pages since my last post and this thread continues to amaze me.
I don't know what point I'm trying to make, so I'll shut up and probably won't make another appearance for another hundred pages or so.
Wait for it.

Re: 1190: "Time"
Greetings!
I have been watching and Waiting from afar and I now come to this needle-pulled thing to bring you my first comment! I have been following for many a newpix and the One True Comic has drawn me to take a more active role in my Waiting. Late I have come, this is true, but in Time, I believe, I can make up for what I haven't done.
My first contribution is as follows:
As I scroll through the posts, I cannot help but think that as we Wait, we illustrate what Lord Randall previously set forth in The Other Comic #915. (no link because I hear n00bs can't link linky-links) Perhaps this is in fact the case, not just for us, but for our bold Time adventurers, Megan and Cueball, as they battle the imminent threat of the rising semencoffeecancerbaby. It has been speculated by some before me that each newpix reveals to us the experiences of young children represented in the scale in which they envision it. In the words of The Other Comic 915 (title text): Our brains have just one scale, and we resize our experiences to fit.
I ponder these thoughts as my first post marks the start of my coma. Good luck and God speed fellow Waiters. Especially you, Blitzgirl, your devotion has not gone unnoticed during my (previously) nameless Waiting.

My time outside of Time has been erased. My past exists only in memory. Even my signature is gone. My postcount is 2 again...for the first time? Quantum entanglements always gives me a headache. Then the philosophical questions muddy things further. I just want to know it will all be well in the end.
I must wait for It.
Edit: This is It,1 not it.
1Not to be confused with The Facts of Life.2
2The sitcom, not the actual facts of life, which clearly this both is and is not. The facts of life included in The Facts of Life notwithstanding.3

Re: 1190: "Time"
I suggest a clarification to the Pope-for-a-page rule in that the new Pope is the first one whose post actually appears on the newpage (if posts beforehand are added [from new users] or deleted, the title doesn't change hands) that is not purely for the purpose of becoming temporary Pope (to prevent a glut of nigh-empty posts).
EDIT: so, under the suggestion, Buffygirl's non-inane post being at the top of the newpage at its genesis makes her interim Pope for page 345.

WAIT, WHAT?!??? I'm about to coma and I see I'm interim Pope?!?? I'm in the past, I know not what this means!
does this mean I only have to stay awake until page 346?
EDIT: Wait, what do I mean, "only"? How much longer does this mean? I can't commit to this!!! I have work to do, places to go, hats to make!!
EDIT2: Although this hat seems to be everyone's favorite hat to date, so why would I change it? . . . . but the creative beast always cries for more!

Yes. Poster who is on the top of the page (before adjustments) is the Pope until the NextPage. A reign can be continued by again being at the top of the page.
I'll post as little as possible.

Shoot. But can I coma?*
*realizes that by the mere fact of asking she is inviting a response of, "no."
EDIT: And while I'm at it, who approved this??? What happened to Blitzgirl-as-pope? I have not the opportunity to read the pages I have missed, how am I to know what this means?

No.

I updated the wiki's quotes page again (if you guys see an awesome quote, please, edit it in... I'm mostly reading the thread on my phone so when I finally get to a computer I can't always re-find awesome stuff!) and I've noticed it's gotten messy with block quotes and whatnot. I'm thinking about redoing it to match Wikiquote format. Anyone got any objections? (If I don't hear anything against it by the time I start work in 9 Longpix, I'm going to do it.)
