I was gonna say "that's some bucket; I don't think the handle on any bucket I ever used would hold up to the weight of a whole person"... and then I realized stick figures probably don't weigh very much.

You need 5 posts to be able set your signature, iirc.

In answer to thou question, thou must offerest more posts to the One Randall Who Blessest Us All before thou mayest have a sig. And then thou must offerest more posts if thou wishest to placate us, your fellow Timieans [new word!], that we shall allow for any images to appear on this here holy needle-pulling-thingy. Well just had a look I found that it took 9 newpix to erode 1.25 pixels into the castle. If that rate was constant then for it to get to the far side of the comic which is 430 pixels away it would take 3096 newpix!

I can't see it being constant though. But that is the maths currently anyway.

I fear we may be thrusting too much upon our esteemed BlitzGirl, traveler of Time.

She has inspired all of us and demonstrated an amazing ability to Wait for it. She has given us her poetic talent and provided us with retro-clarity as to the Madness that was our own, just a few short NewPages ago.

I must rescind my earlier suggestion as to her Pope/Mome-ship. Of course, she would be welcome to take this duty if she wished, but if she wishes to be but a Troubadour of Time, I fully support it. She doesn't need for us to be rabid Popearatzzi if she chooses instead to hold a more humble position in our present Time of Waiting.

Let her compose great odes and sonnets of her epic quest! Let her regale us with her word-wizardry! Let her enjoy the rest of the present as she sees fit, without pressure from us to give us more. She has endured much, witnessed much, and survived a harrowing travel through Time.

That should be more than enough.

She alone is more than enough. She is only bestowed these titles as due respect of appreciation for her absolute steadfastness and, as you stated, word-wizadry through Time. They can be mostly honorary titles and should not, under any circumstances, create panic or a sense of pressure.

Er. Well, the "Reader" title should. Don't want her slacking on that.

I didn't say we weren't going to make her Pope, just that we wouldn't ask her.

So is Megan riding the bucket elevator merely for fun, or to abandon land/help Cueball the slowpoke build?

Also, I'm just going to call it now: Once the sea has risen to consume the sand and no more construction is possible with the sand on the platform. They'll use pieces of wood and rope to make fishing poles. Which they will then use to fish as they dangle their legs over the edge of the platform. until they catch the attention of a shark and they get attacked, proving once and for all, this comic has definitely not jumped the shark. Wait for it...

Blitzgirl doesn't want to be Pope.

That's working out lovely for buffygirl ain't it then.

No one asks to be Pope. You're chosen by a jury of your peers. In the interim case, chosen by the random stroke of a pen (post). I believe the interim pope is happening because BlitzGirl isn't waiting fast enough and we're popeless. I don't think it matters if buffygirl or anyone else doesn't really want to stick around for the whole page. It's not like we didn't go dozens of pages without Pope Helper. (No, none of this pope stuff effects me anyways.)

It does seem uncharacteristically foolhardy for Megan. Boredom? Desperation to escape the rising waters? Being driven mad by fumes from the cancersemenbaconicebabies?

And with that, I must coma.
