Rampant statistical analysis and secular philosophical exploration. THIS is the clearly the dawn of a new era. We wait for It, though some seem quite content believing It may never come. It is, rather, how we wait for It that matters most. Our entire existence summed up in my opinion.
It seems to me this influence emerged about the same time as speculation Megan was building a mosque/the Taj Mahal. Yet again the conversation is influenced by the comic (as well it should be.)

No kidding. >< Just found my own post and it took 15s to scroll through it. I cleaned it up a bit but I can't do much more than that, because BBCode won't let me nest spoilers.

Hm, could be.
C & especially M are spending an awful lot of time on doing what seems to be detail work on that one section. I wonder if at some point we'll zoom in so that we can see what the hell they're making.

You are the newest member of The Order of the Knights Temporal and you have been sent on a quest to find the mythical Sands of Time. You know you will face many horrors on your journey but you have been outfitted with a great sword, a helm (called Matt), a belt, some gantlets and a set of chain mail. The quartermaster was too busy staring at his tablet to tell you what they do but I’m sure you will work it out. You head out on your grand quest. You have been told to head west and to trust Randall to guide your way. The first day of walking is uneventful and nearing sunset you come to a small village. You are in luck because they have a Thyme Waiters restaurant and you have a fine breakfast before retiring for the night. The next 24 days pass in similar fashion as you travel westward until the morning of the 26th day when the weather takes a turn for the worse. And the local meteorological service has predicted many weeks of hard rain. You are faced with a terrible decision.Do you Carry on though wind and rain as nothing will stop a true KnightOr delay your quest and wait for it to clear before continuing on

Edit: Crap I'm PFAN! Well by Papal decree I say it is your duty to use PayPal to send me money! If you have no money to send then you penance is to copy quotes into the Book of Time
Edit2: Ok we are doing RetroPopeing now so I'm safe. I'll refund all that PayPal money when I get a chance.
Nice -- a choose your own adventure!
You're putting in a lot of work over there and it's coming along great. Hmmm... Hey, maybe we should set up a forum somewhere to have a place to discuss the Book of Time summary in the Wiki of the Comic which summaries the discussion within this forum where we summarize our thoughts about the comic. Whadd'ya think?

There was a HUGE error on the explainxkcd and xkcd-time wikis where about 60 files had the wrong name. I am currently correcting that.
