Well, it's not really a word, it's an anagram of the German word 'Radiergummi', so it doesn't really have an official pronunciation. I (and my friends; it's a bit of an inside joke) pronounce it with four syllables: drei-arm-u-mig, but who am I to argue with the algorithm.

I choose to believe that Megan is more saying, "see you soon", than "goodbye forever". I could understand (given time) leaving a castle, but I could never understand abandoning the flags to the fate of the Sea (which is big).

You know, the closeup of Megan with the T. Minimus would have been practically subliminal in conventional video but allowed time for dozens of comments here.

With the rather low frame rate we're watching, it wouldn't put a strain on our eyes if the OTC interlaced frames of the castle (with children), and frames of the further adventures of M&C. (The various GIFs might get painful, later...)

I suggest there will be an anti-Clamatic1 ending, one opposed to mixtures of tomato juice and clams that are passed off as a beverage to the unwary.

I hope for a two channel timesplit:

Castles - newpix every hour on the hour - (guest stars: le-petit, the sea (which is BIG), flag hunters, judges of the sandcastles-building competition 300 yards down the beach)

AND

Following C&M - with a newpix every half past the hour - on their journey to the river (which is... you know... size challenged), meeting a wise man who knows the sea, a maiden who once made the sea do whatever SHE wanted, and the sandcastles, once again, after doing a little swimming and realizing that the sea is not THAT big after all.

I'm sure that sorting the images will be loads of fun for some talented people.
It's about time.

yeah, English doesn't quite work like that, you can rarely call someone directly by an adjective ( I have seen it for deminutives, "fatty" or "cutie" would be equivalent to "Gordinho" and "Lindinho" in Portuguese. but there is no "littlie" in English. the other way is to call the person (or thing) by the (indefinite?) pronoun "one" use an adjective on that (little one, smart one (of course smarty exists), etc)

I always called my daughter "Little Girl" before she was born (and that among an assortment of other endearments afterwards) but I was delighted to hear my native New Zealander friend calling her son "Little-ie" (Littlie? Little-y?). So maybe it's just American English that lacks that.

And time did NOT end.

Although I feel pretty secure claiming that it IS the end of not only a period, but an entire era.

I believe that we'll stay with the castle and thus it's the end of the Megan&Cueball era. What the new era will be about, is unknown.
My prediction is that after a few newpix of raising sea level, something new will arrive. Whether it'll be other humans, seagulls or raptors, I don't dare to predict.

Of course, we could also follow Megan&Cueball and it'll be the end of the sandcastle era (or both), but I find this unlikely.

Hah. I don't know if it would work. So much effort wasted as people forget about this during holidays and summer. We might remember to check it next year...but how many of us. Gotta prank the whole fanbase, not just the devoted nerds.

Finally catching up again, after ~24 TimeFrames away, after being caught up for the first time in ~130 TimeFrames.

What could it mean?!?

I can only conclude that this is a message to me from the past. I must now delve1 into my history to study newpage 361 to determine the Truth! NewPage 404 means nothing! Wait, who typed that? NewPage 404 is EVERYTHING! It's all we have!

1 this is sooooo not happening

Edits: language, typos, presentation, stuff....

Let's see... 361 is 19 squared... also is a centered triangular number, a centered octagonal number, a centered decagonal number, a member of the Mian–Chowla sequence, and the number of positions on a standard 19 x 19 Go board.

I'm so much smarter sounding when wikipedia's around.

I think I have a new favorite series of numbers, the centered octagonal series. It's just so convenient and elegant, all the squares of odd integers...

Yes, maybe La Petite™ will save the day :D She did arrive shortly after my wife and I found out that we were expecting, which is always a good sign :D

Congratulations!

Picking a name should be fairly easy, with so few options available. Cueball or Randall for a boy, Megan, La Petite or BlitzGirl for a girl ;)

You forgot Rob. Which would be my vote for male. BlitzGirl for female, of course.

I completely understand. A few comas ago, I dreamt doing something about this needle-pulled thing while flying about in a blue police box. Still trying to figure that one out.

Onward to the cake!

Congrats on having been the most mentioned noun for at least 3 days daypix now!

And, if you had only known how close you were to the cake, it would have been awesome. Well, I guess it was awesome as it was, since it was cake, but you know what I mean.

This definitely wasn't the first frame of the OTC that made me sad, but it may have been the first to make me shed tears... hopefully it turns out not to be as depressing as it seems as first glance...
lunarul wrote:Just in case nobody mentioned this theory before: I think this IS an April Fool's joke, but not for this year; it's building up to April 1st 2014!

Oh Randall, if this is true it's going to be really tough to stave off the Outside for so many Timeframes... this week is killing me enough, when I'm ouside of my native country for only the second time ever... but if it is was Randall requires, it is what he shall have! Assuming I can make it that far...

And, as it seems every time I catch up in the One True Thread, it is beyond Time to coma. I'll have the pleasure of what I miss overnight throughout tomorrow, though!

Edit 1: Spoilered the walltext... I hadn't realized how intimidating it would be until I posted it. Sorry!

Happy to oblige ;-) "backwards-R", being Cyrillic Я, is clearly a vowel. Or a diphthong. I'm not sure. We have 6 vowels, and neither Ю nor Я were among them at the time. The sounds are like "yu" and "ya", respectively, so maybe they are diphthongs. I wish I knew the difference, but now I must transcend to coma again, even before catching up. I feel blitzy.

Such wonderful happenings in only a few short newpages! Okay, first, LaPetite showed up in the One True Comic, and apparently some of you thought it was me:

And indeed I am! Although the observation is happening from the same dimension as all of you. I do believe I would have noticed had I wandered into the One True Comic inadvertently, but you never know. Perhaps it will happen sometime in my future!

Then apparently some posters of pages 380-382 got together some time in the future and decided to throw a PASTPARTY! Aw, you're all so nice! Here is the full party experience I enjoyed:

Oh my... Welcome, Blitzgirl!

I would like to formally welcome BlitzGirl into the OTC!!!!

To welcome you here I've baked a cake (well actually I just stole it)

Here have some. *Latent22 hands BlitzGirl some cake*

I hope you appreciate all the work we had to go though. Blackmailing Randall into adding you in wasn't easy. By the way Randall your puppy is in a box on the corner of 5th and madison.

WELCOME TO THE OTC!

Just in case it is just a french girl and not BlitzGirl I name her LaPetite!

Edit2: her fathers last name is Mort by the way but she has taken her mothers name instead and this must never be mentioned again!

manvandmaan wrote:You're getting close, BlitzGirl! The Croissants will be oven-fresh when you arrive!
But if you want those treats, tread the thread with care, cause tears may cause tears!

Oven-fresh! So many scrumptious baked goods!

Oh, and I finally figured out what those tears were all about:
Ebonite wrote:Wouldn't it be interesting if, for example, in the next time interval, while we're all paying attention to what this new arrival La Petite is doing in the present, Cueball suddenly reappeared back in frame 675 and caught Megan when she fell out of the bucket? And how would this affect Cueball-675, sitting on the upper level of the sandcastle, watching his future self appear out of nowhere and do this?

Why, this could completely rip the fabric of time. And what would it do to our beloved Blitzgirl as she's traveling rapidly through time when she hits one of these tears at full speed? She may never have the chance to encounter the original timestream as she's diverted down the new timestream as it's rewritten dynamically. . .

I certainly hope no TimeTears await me in the future! (Or in the past!)

In conclusion, a few more pastposts:
