does make the art of Haiku

And you are right. When I download the PNG and view in MS Paint it is #010101
The browsers are rendering differently. In Chrome it's obviously really noticeable.

Can be one or two;
it depends on your accent.

I hope this is so,
Forever I have waited,

Call me when we get to #323232.
NoMouse wrote:htom wrote:So Chrome has "spoiled" a surprise that we would have otherwise found had been going on for days when we finally noticed it.
I think it would be noticed as soon as someone tried to compare some newpix before the change with other newpix after the change (e.g. to compare the see level) - I've tried the javascript at http://pastebin.com/cWxA6EDR and all the black areas are red on the comparison of 894 and 895. I don't know how exactly other comparators work though (e.g. they could mark it as red that is almost black, I don't know).

IE seems to be the only one rendering correctly.

Mine takes the amount of change into account. So, a change from #000000 to #010101 would be marked as something like #010000, which isn't particularly noticable as red.

Well, so far we only have data on 2 changes, with 4 frames inbetween... so 1024 newpix, or 42 longpix(days) at a linear rate.dreiarmumig wrote:Can someone calculate in how many newpix we'd reach an all-white frame if the black continues to fade at the current rate?

My assumption is that it will actually speed up or something else will happen.

We have a new shade of gray...
So, what will happen now? Will it just all go white?
