Hey, I did it! I joined this needle-pulled party just in Time! Here, folks: have some cake (apple-pie and chocolate-banana-cake with smarties).

Thanks to Lyoug for warping my firstpost from page 441 to the present.

Hopefully you all enjoy it and don't think the song choice is weird/dumb, but it just popped into my head on the way home from work yesterday and I couldn't get it out. I think if I actually knew what I was doing the video would be better and hopefully you find the singing pleasant enough as well. Like I said, I don't exactly have a music studio in my house and I never claimed to be Michael Buble. That should be enough disclaimers and self-deprecation to cover my butt! Enjoy.

The conclusion (?) makes me sad :( I was hoping that Randall would keep this one going in perpetuity. I've been lurking since day one, since I check xkcd after lunch on M/T/W/F China time. I saw the first frame when it happened, though I apparently missed the last (?)

For all intents and purposes, this is the final signpost of my Quest. From here onward, I post in the Now. It has been a strange and grand adventure through the past of the Thread of Time, and I feel I am a better person/poet/knight/etc. for having read it all. And for having met all of your past selves along the way, if only through pastposts and sigcouragement. Time may be fading, but the memories I've gained on my Quest surely won't - they are far too filled with Madness to ever forget!

So I've caught up to here, and must attend to the Outside. Wait for it.

The current frame is (almost) certainly not the last one. It hasn't 100% faded to white, and there's still action going on in it. More action than we've seen since Cueball and Megan left. The next frame may be the final one though.

Blitzgirl, you're here! I'm so happy to see you in the present! Congratulations on completing your pilgrimage. Please accept the highest honour I can bestow on any forum dweller: The Almighty Pocketwatch of The One True Comic. It will ONG whenever a newpix would be released, even after the OTC ends, as a tribute to the OTC.

And to everyone else on this thread, this has been the best adventure. If this really is the end, I'm so happy to have been here with you all! May all your future Timeframes, newpix and the like be filled with sand, cake and trebuchets, from now until forever. What a great way to spend a month, what a great way to spend time.

My perception of time itself has been changed, now, too. Take each hour newpix as it comes, and appreciate all of the little moments. Every grain of semencancercoffeebabies - every Pixel of Time is worth something and should be appreciated. I'll never forget this experience :)

To the Outside for the weekend, and I return to 20+ newpages. Finally caught up (hi BlitzGirl!), and I await the next ONG. Thanks to all who have been posting the darkened versions; my computer at work is about 5 years behind current software ([grumbles about NMCI]), so I appreciate it!

Okay, now to Wait For It.

Weird thing.
For the past month I've been closely watching the OTC while I was intensively developing my upcoming mobile app.

I just looked at the current build number (automatically increments every time I compile the app) and saw that it says Build 987, which means I am almost at 1:1 build/newpix ratio.

This must be an omen!
(I also used #FFFFFF for several text colors in the app, in case you wish to raise any doubts!)

Also, total white frame is here. FFFFFF except for the corners.

EDIT: So, prediction: There will be several newpix, all white but different hash. We will be puzzled but optimistic.
Then, if there are no more newpix, some kind of message will be sent to us somehow, somewhere.

(before last dong) Sea level has risen 32 pixels since the final pan (Post 217) [05-03-2013 12:00]

So much castle has been destroyed since then, The original 6flags are currently (1&4: taken down by Cueball in frames 182 and 185, 2&3: still standing in the left castle, 5: currently falling into the sea 6: placed on middle castle by Megan in frame 813 following collapse of the castle. All other flags remain in original places)

Flagwatch, better than baywatch!

(After last dong)
Wow, is that it? Is it over or is La petite's toy going to reappear? now would be a really odd time to end...

A few more song suggestions while we Wait, in case no one's mentioned them:

"Not Fade Away" - Buddy Holly (already mentioned, I think)
"Are We There Yet?" - Trout Fishing in America
"Shades of Gray" - Billy Joel

and for Blitzgirl:

We love it that you love it that you're here.
Love it, love it, love it, love it that you love it to be here.
If you love to be here, say I love it! (Lyle Lovett)
I don't believe you, that sounded insincere.
It could be worse, you know, you could have a fever.
It could be much worse, you could throw up.
Or even worse than that, you could throw up in your hat.

You might as well love it that you're here.

"Happy That You're Here" - Trout Fishing in America

Fear not, followers of Time! Eventually, the whiteness will fade in to reveal something completely different. Maybe not today, maybe not this week, maybe not in this lifetime, but eventually. It may go through another iteration of the sandcastle construction first. It may go through 100 iterations of the sandcastle construction. But eventually, we will get NEW newpix!

Wait for it...
