No! No Morse Code, the blitzers won't like that.
And DEFINITELY no Morse Code/rot13 mashups! Bad! Bad!

Where in Time is Dracomax? We seem to have lost our Inquisitor around Newpage 408... :(

But, cat 6 is great if you don't have much Time.

That just means it will be another thousand frames before we find out what it really is. (I don't think it's a water purifier. I think it's a transportation device.)

Damn...

Just noticed that my last post was #420. And I had this whole bit planned which involved Harold and Kumar and White Castle.

But I spaced out and totally forgot...

So I guess that'll work too.

481/495. I'm close enough to feel it (probably 2.5-3h away), but again I'm being hauled away by the Outside. But I'll be back!

Helper, HAL, and Opiboble returned from prolonged absences, and there was much rejoicing and chaos. An odd gray streak has appeared in the OTC and been suitably welcomed as a three-tone overlord (I'd prefer robots, myself.)

Now that the Quotes wikipage is up to 165, I'm declaring myself Quotemaster unless someone wishes to deny me the title or modify it. Unless anyone does so I will assume the title at the time I reach this post.

More replies. You guys know the routine...

This frame shows them moving on sideways. But he has used the same image from the last frame and added some more Mustard on top. So its interesting to learn that he keeps adding to his existing frames like this. Also he has used the same wrong mustard colour. The lines can't be intentional as they are in the exact same place as the last frame even though the scene is moved on

At least on Iron (a Chrome fork) on Windows, I see the gray quite clearly in your attachment but not in the original image at all. I wonder if Randall did go back and fix it? I'm still 15 pages back so he's had plenty of time for that...

You know it could be all three... That would be a real multipurpose device!

A dilgunnerang!

We need to invent this, and sell it!

A boomerang gun, that fires dildos! We will make millions!!!

Edit: or a dildo gun, that fires boomerangs!

Who wants to fire a gun at someone that results in a spent dildo hitting you in the face?

...I do.

Just tried searching for dildo gun boomerang in google images but the first image was just from this forum... https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=dildo+gun+boomerang&tbm=isch

That is just awesome!!!

EDIT: Also 2nd link on web search.

I couldn't remember the *exact* term used, but these are the posts I was thinking of......

Edit
I put my comment in the wrong place and, boy, is that comment ripe for picking at.......

Well, of course they do. How else are they going to come back to/at the thrower once they've landed in the caffeinatedseamencancerbaconbabbies¹?

1: whether BIG or small.

Hey this is a river right. There should be a flow of caffeinatedseamencancerbaconbabbies downstream which should carry the dildogunerang towards the sea and out of the 2D camera shot right?

Or is there no flow at all?

comatime!

A reminder: The BuffyDashery is not currently accepting new hat orders; this means that no record is currently being made of any requests.

Note: When a name is added to either of the two Hat Mobs, an acknowledgment is always made via a post on the OTT. I will invite the recent requestors to re-request when I am ready to acknowledge said requests.
Thank you.
in the hqm: chem1190c, doeanethum, velocitygirl (via jjjdavidson)
in the phqmm: Latent22, VoronX, caswallon, patzer (ish)
once I clear out the hqm, I will move names that are in the phqmm over to the hqm, and then begin accepting new hqm requests until it gets too full, at which point new requests will go into the phqmm.

It's not much of a system, but it's mine!

484/495 (I ninja'd my way back for a few more newpages 8-) ). Megan and Cueball are still walking, but now Megan made reference to needing to use a steam bottle. Since everyone seems to be baffled by this, at least in my Present, here are my thoughts:
Spoiler:
A lot of time has passed since the fade, and M&C have covered quite a bit of ground. They've used almost all their water doing so, though, so either they find fresh water today or they'll be forced to use a steam bottle to turn seawater into drinkable water.

No kidding. >_> I took care of these ones. But they hit hard. I am totally blaming them for me being so far behind in the OTT - it takes time for me to res from a phoenix egg. I did say they hit hard, right?

Just kidding

I initially cringed, then saw the fine print.

I initially laughed because I thought it funny nobody had mentioned this before, then I saw the fine print. Has nobody noticed the Java script?

The joke is that, early in the OTT, almost everyone had to post about the JS. There were pages upon pages of "Oh me yarm guys have you seen the Javascript? I can't read it but maybe if we can crack it it'll show us the rest of the frames!" Now that's all but died, hence the hilarity in the joke. It's very much an inside joke/meta-reference.
EDIT: Zul-Gurub again. "O M G" was intended.

lgw wrote:Since I'm not going to try to read the whole thread, perhaps the regulars can help me. Was there a consensus on the line "The river hasn't even reached the sea yet"? The rest of the speech made some sort of sense, but that's just odd. I'm sure this has been discussed to death (and perhaps even a papal scism leading to a crusade, given what I've seen of this thread) - any insights?

I always felt that the text had been ignored. It was turned into a chant, but I haven't seen any serious (snigger) attempt to close read it. It's as if we the people believed the words just dropped out of a cracker.

That's true, but... what exactly can we do with it? I'm probably gravely underestimating the resourcefulness of others on here, but that line seems almost like something we just have to Wait for. Either they'll talk more about it, and we can discuss, or they won't, and it'll be a little, illogical anomaly in their conversation.

BlitzGirl wrote:Cuegan appears to be moving, but the mustard remains the same! It distracts from the narrative of the One True Comic!

Clearly, the mustard is heretical.

Cover it in chocolate and shredded licorice! Stat!

EDIT: apparently Randall did fix it. So... unless someone can figure out how to cover non-existent mustard in chocolate and licorice, I think we're good.

"xkcd-Regular, the One True Font."

Yep! :D

I still haven't downloaded the font, but someone linked it awhile back and that was my first (instinctive) read of the extension. Probably doesn't hurt that I don't work with fontfiles more than once a blue moon, so "OpenType Font" was not yet embedded in my subconscious the way "OT?1" is.

I am very happy that despite the mob (I prefer heap, but I be old.) of hat requests, you have had time to make yourself a nw hat. It is quite fine, and shows off the milliner1s skill!

1I use milliner rather than haberdasher because Wikipedia seems to think haberdasher refers to only men's furnishings, and buffygirl clearly handles patrons of all sexes.
2I like the term haberdasher better though.

As far as the hats go, I think it's safe to say that I'm pretty well set. Unless my hat, pre-dating Time itself, needs a hat of its own??

Actually, that's the glob expansion wildcard. In RegEx, it's the period/full stop '.' that means that, and '?' means 0 or 1 of the preceding character or grouping.
P.S. I am Randall, but not that Randall.
We can rebuild it. We have the technology. We can make it better than it was. Better … stronger … well, maybe not faster.
Well, BlitzGirl is experiencing a bit of a title wave.
