Well, how about some Al Gore Rhythm jumping around? How it's actually related to Al Gore, global warming, the OTC, and the OTT is still a bit cloudy for me, but I'm sure there's a connection...

I've been trying to think of a possible end for Time and the best I can come up with is something similar to the end of Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail.

After such an epic build there is no way my fallable mind can see a controlled ending that answers all of our questions. The only way to end such a thing is to just stop creating more.

Now I fear that my doubts verge on heresy, Randall forgive me.

Speculating upon the end of Time is a OTT honored tradition, and so is not heretical.

This solution is not correct. There are two "O"s in the third column.

I got the following solution:

Spoiler:
_ S O I R N P E T
E T R _ O P I S N
N I P S E T O R _
P R N E T _ S O I
S _ T P I O R N E
O E I N S R T _ P
T N S R _ I E P O
R O _ T P E N I S
I P E O N S _ T R

And the pink boxes spell out "PETER PIPER POSTS IOO PENISES" (?).

Edit: I see StratPlayer found his error while I was posting a correction.
Edit 2: Corrected transcription error made while copying solution from paper.

re: measuring creativity:
Sciscitor wrote:

<snip for brevity's sake>
Your explanation on the scoring algorithm is quite right.
What I try to measure is just one dimension - the verbal content. This also is nothing but a crude approximation anyways. I put some thought into this to come up with a consistent model that is feasable to compute. The result is nothing more but an indicator, albeit one that I feel fits the observed activity in the OTT.
Creativity per se can not be measured. I did not set out to include images, songs and video - I know enough about this to know that I won't be able to come up with anything reasonable at this. (Just think about it: How would an algorithm know if something is just a link to some other content or a link to something the person created themselves?)
I also did not set out to create an algorithm that can't be gamed. There are lot of possibilities to f*ck up the score with careful wording and structuring. (You can argue that coming up with such a scheme would count as creativity as well, though.) It's just a fun metric to apply to a rather complex amount of data and the results are not totally random.

But since it's scope is rather narrow and folks feel left out or being unfairly ranked, I will leave it at this.

It's still interesting! All of our collective creations are interesting, and they are all limited or exclusionary in scope in one way or another (for example, I have not hatted EVERYONE .... yet). Yes, I was pouty for a minute mip (is that right?), but I got over it!

Is there any endgame for this wonderful diversion (not that I'm looking forward to an ending), but I was curious if there was one mentioned previously. Has anyone collected outside this forum all of the pics on a single page to view? I didn't realize until now that it was being updated every 1/2 hour, and while I checked back on it daily I know I'm missing quite a bit of it.

Thanks!

Don't mind me, I'm just transporting a firstpost into the present. I'll leave it to others to answer the query, as I don't have any of the gif/slideshow options bookmarked.

Welcome, Pun Gent1! THE WIKI is always a great place to start. On the "Useful External Links" page, there are links to The Geekwagon Animation, Aubron Wood's Animation, and mscha's site which has all the frames and gives a pop-up mouse-over display. The Wiki also has some other useful and entertaining links and info also.

I'm sure it'll pass soon. I don't think these puns have much traction.
