I have had to rest my belief largely on the existence of La Petite and that was a long time ago.

However, the chirp may save my belief. It may herald something interesting at the mid point, a point where the rising action turns down, and coincidentally may coincide with the CueGan turning back down the mountain. (This last doesn't have to happen, but it's neat in stories where it does (as in the rising/falling acting tracked by Charlie's IQ in Flowers for Algernon).

A new (temporary) title is available to all posters to claim. I'm thinking the appropriate title for the last post on any newpage is the "Goat of the Page".

That way if you are the pope of a page you can easily become the goat of the previous page. Ho Hum Tweedledeedee.

Claim it if you like. I'm not makin' a rule here. Not a commandment. No sin to believe otherwise.

But, I'm a thinkin' "GOAT".

DUUUUDE! Great Shakespeare filk! Henry V is certainly the best of the histories, and that's hands-down the best scene. I love Shakespeare. :)

Also, loved your "Pure Imagination" filk, though I admit that song has started to scare me lately, because I have a friend who is getting his masters in choral composition right now and working on an arrangement of that one inspired by the dissonant, life-disturbing nightmare arrangement of "Close to You" from Jim Henson's MirrorMask. View at risk of feeling insecure about everything for the rest of your life (actually it's kinda fun...):

Who knew that Shakespeare read the OTT?

Bravo! Though I'm afraid the lines "Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, / And say 'These wounds I had on Megan's wip.' " might be easily misinterpreted.

Absolutely! I don't mind mealworms. But while they're tasty treats for other molpy-critters (tarantulas).. I don't want them on my cupcakes. Image I have also grown to love things like Dubia Roaches after raising a colony as feeders. The babies are the cutest things ever.

I was wondering what people's thoughts were about the occasional thick lines. It's always seemed a little strange to me that the first frame has thicker lines. And just now, I was looking at the frame before the one in which Megan says, "Do you want to find out?" and it's like she has a little beard there. What's that about? Intentional? Heresy? Bad anti-aliasing?

Oh, and tinnitus - bloody earritating! I realized I had it in my early 20's, long before I had listened to music loud enough to justify it, and now I guess I've been to enough shows to have made it worse. One of the many neato things about being pregnant though was that my tinnitus got much much quieter while the bun was in the oven. Back with a vengeance now though.

Kay, I just had the most marvelous "it's all related" moment. A NewPage or two ago people were discussing having literally ROFLing. I have never done so, and then it just happened... I laughed so hard I fell off my seat. The reason? This link of poor stuffed molpies:

Oh - you're right. I feel a bit silly for not realizing that. There are other spots, but I think they may have to do with motion. The first frame is still odd, but that's reasonable, given that it had to pretend to be the whole comic for a half hour (assuming that the first frame was the first frame, and that it wasn't lost).

Megan is male and Jewish and always wears his yarmulke. Cueball is a female Zen Buddhist, and a bit taller than average. She says "zen stuff", of course ("I don't know how anything works", "Maybe the sea couldn't wait. &ct).

But then, what do we really know?

I dunno about thick lines. Sorry.

ETA: Actually, I have a conjecture. If memory serves, the image of the first np that was passed around had a different resolution than normal. That may not have been the posted pic, but something that happened in the capturing. My copy is 553 by 395 at 72ppi. The usual is 1152ppi. But that only explains the first np. A screen grab will likely give you 72ppi (or so, depending on your screen). A download gives the real deal, of course.

ChronosDragon Dracomax, I don't know what to say. That is, quite simply, beautiful. I don't suppose the gent with the sweet tenor would want to record that? (Yappobiscuits? Apologies to the true singer if that's wrong.)

I could do, but I don't know what that's based on... (yeah I'm sure it's something really well known that I should know and I'll kick myself when told :P)

I have it permanently in my left ear -- the one that faced my amp. Even though I finally opted for sanity and earplugs in my mid-twenties, the damage had already been done from my teens -- I just didn't realize it at that time. The noticeable tinnitus didn't show up until my 40's. [soapbox] So to any musicians out there who dabble in loud music -- PLEASE use ear protection! [/soapbox]

It is too late for me as well. Too many raves in the mid-to-late 90's dancing right by the speakers. I still stand in the optimal listening zone (which I found out in my 20s is NOT right by the speakers.. haha), but now wear ear-plugs. Since I didn't start wearing ear plugs until my 30s, well. Yeah. Too late. I have to sleep with a fan on, or any other thing that produces white noise, else I'll hear the constant wheeeeeeeeeeeeen in my ears. :?

I really should probably listen to you guys re. this... so many metal gigs, both watching and playing... and yet I can never be bothered with earplugs even though I know I should...

Maybe it's molparalyzed?
In Svithjod, there stands a rock. It is 100 miles high and 100 miles wide. Once every 1000 years a little bird comes to this rock to sharpen its beak. One time, I changed just the last sentence of this signature, and lots of you noticed. Image
