The question is whether both Megan and the birdpy are:

a) making bird noises; or
b) actually saying "Chirp"

Mhhmm. The first time there was a chirp, there was no line to the speaker like there is with Cuegans text. I think that bird is actually saying the word now, but was chirping earlier.
I made my avatar, Buffygirl hatted it, Yappo smileyed it and ggh taroted it!

St. Peter led him to the Library of Heaven, and with great delight he perused all the Holy Books for many of what might pass for weeks in Heaven. But then he emerged crying uncontrollably. St. Peter came to see what was bothering the man. "Those translators got it all wrong", he wailed. The word was "CELEBRATE!"

btw, in the list of all thread images, my schpluck image didn't show up. Maybe because it was spoilered?

Nah. They are making chirp noises. The lines are to identify who is doing it. That was not an issue before.

I guess I'll just say hello. How is everyone?

Just dandy - the Little-y is in great form today. Do we brave the wind and rain to go to the supermarket, or do I have kumara and pop-tarts for supper... hmm....

Now that I've seen the original song, I'd love to hear Dracomax's version. Funny, I forgot there was something so lovely in that movie. Maybe I was just too traumatized by the oompa-loompas to take it in as a kid.

I did a couple of Tarot cards that are more OTC than OTT. I started checking out a tarot meanings page and it's fun to see what meanings there are for even the lowly cards. The Two of Wands is described as representing the energy and will to make our reality. "A cohesive vision of the final destination starts to form, and though this first impression may be incorrect, that really does not matter at this time. There will be plenty of time to change your course later if you are not heading in the direction you want to be." This is the textless frame before "Want to find out?" "Yes."
Tarot_WandsTwo.jpg

The Five of Pentacles is said to do with real-world problems, often a material "loss that you bring upon yourself." Hmm, not exactly poverty, but I couldn't resist.

So now I'm writing posts in my head about random non-thread stuff... A while ago I muttered “C'mon, door” and the little notepad in my head immediately pictured a Komondor leaping and started twerking search terms. Hey, a mop-molpy!

Hello! Doing well, thanks. Weather's a balmy 82°F...in my room (it's closer to 70°F outside...*sigh*), surface radiation levels are well within reasonable levels, and my domesticated catmolpy is curled up on the bed. Conditions could hardly be more ideal.

Oh come on, I just said everything's perfect, SOMETHING exciting has to happen...

Whatever you do, don't look behind the third door on your right. I can't explain why, but the consequences could be catHousemolpyastrophic.
Also, remember the phrase, "Cuegan and the molpy by the sea at midnight" I promise that it'll make sense when the time comes.

And now, with the prophesy fulfilled and the Sheeple on their way, Comatime.

Oh, all four of my housemolpies are beginning to get ever so close. Closer and closer. They know it is time for their midnight snack, which means it is time for me to coma. As it appears that Megan's conversation with the mini-molpyrator-molparrows is not likely to reveal anything of significance to us non-chirpers, I bid one and all a good night, coma well.

Be careful not to feed this molpy after midnight though.

Funny how before it seemed like in the previous scene frame when the chirps came in the dotted lines in the air, I thought that it implied it was coming from some tiny flying insect to small to see. Now that it is coming from the tree, it seems more likely to be a chirpy-bird, but I suppose it still could be an insect, especially because the molpy movement in the previous scene frame included only those VERY tiny "molvements" in the grass, as if to suggest maybe crickets or other larger and thus still possibly visible insects. Could still easily be some sort of arthropod-molpy in the tree. Guess we'll just have to...

Do you have a form 237b63 for each one of those silly hats? If not, then the Department of Silliness cannot allow the silliness of these hats. Unlicensed silliness cannot be condoned!

Uhhhhh ..... Sure! It's, er ... right here ...

Dear, that's a magazine of questionable modesty. Quite silly of you to attempt it. Do you have a 378b63 (general single silliness license) or a 378q75 (general multiple silliness license) for that?

Neither do I. It seems to have something to do with math. It was just the first Google reply.

Sigged. That's awesome. It's so nicely hidden until it slams you in the face.

Someone please explain this to me... Something about MS Word clippies?

At first glance I thought it was the standard Cthulu txt:
wikipedia wrote:His worshipers chant "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" ("In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.")

After a few looks I saw Cthulu had been replaced with Cthclippy, replacing said ancient unimaginable horror with something that shouldn't have been imagined ever.
The house of Chtulu has been replaced with M'sword (was R'lyeh) so it makes:
"In his house at MS word, dead Clippy waits dreaming". Awesome.

Be careful with the Shakespeare spoofs. Usually everybody dies at the end of a Shakespeare story, I do not wish for all of us to die.

Perhaps GLR is trying to replicate the cicada effect by driving us all crazy with these chirpy newpix.

Or they all get married (Shakespearean comedies). Which could cause problems as I know many OTTers are already married once over...

To late. I was already crazy. I would hazard a guess that most of us were, we were just not used to showing it.

Hmm, I think I should first meet the right girl before I get married. That is the customary sequence in my part of the world. Maybe if I print "Wait for it" in 20 cm high letters on the side of my velomobile I could meet a suitable girl....

That's true. I should reword that.

It's probably an experiment:
"Is sanity cyclical?
If we take some crazy loonies and push them further and further, will they go completely around the bend and turn back to sanity?"

Foreseeing the future:

Cueball will try to spot the cicade. But since the tiny little trouble maker (the cicade, not cueball), will fall silent as soon as Cue enters spottable distanceo.o... heheh.

o.oThis is when he could see the white in the cicade's eyes. Which they don't have. Mwahahaha...

Oh no, it's an angry little molpychirp.

Perhaps it's following the OTC on its smartphone and chirping at them to get a move-on...

I'm glad I can safely go to C.O.M.A. knowing that others will take over the Molpy Hunting. Thanks for posting that animation, BlitzGirl!
Here's an updated version of mine, purely focused on the chi[lr]py itself. (Note: spoilered for your protection, so y'all don't die of excitement.)

Or it's the other way round. It is a smartphone. The owner chose a ring tone which blends nicely into to local environment. ;)

Imagine an iJail App changing your ring tone to the local bird population....

No problem - molpygifs have become a tradition, happy to help! And thanks for the regenerating cake! :D

If the molpychirp is actually a smartphone, it must belong to either a squirpy or one of the local sparrow-raptors. Why else would it be in the tree?
