Sadly, this sort of "gatekeeping" response (you're not real members of the community, yadda yadda) lurks in nerd-culture sometimes. Antior's post is like the tiny riverish xkcd-fora analogue of the "fake geek girls" controversy. At this point I've learned to roll my eyes at such and move on.

Sandcastle Clicker Idea: When viewing Stats, Boosts could show the actual value of the boosting they're currently doing. I think there's about 18 boosts which could benefit from more exact information. Should I put this effort in?

Perhaps that may explain why my white undershirts came out of the wash pink. Thankfully, I was able to bleach them white again. Took several hours, and multiple washing...

Yep, but we had to get a new roof on it after a company removed the asbestos roof Friday. We needed to get the asbestos roof off not only because asbestos is cancerous and we didn't have enough coffee, baby, semen and ice to use it to make castles but also because there is a company coming todip that is going to put solar panels on it.

All pain aside though: clambering over rooftops is fun. My brother has sort of the same humor (example: I was sitting on the tipitty top of the roof, going backwards while installing the new tipity top thingies. As I was going to the edge of the building he said: "I'll tell you when you've fallen off the building.". Hilarious.).

Fruit Gushers are a type of sugary fruit snack. A gummy shell around a syrupy liquid. Apparently in the Othercomic GLR is "juicing" these little pieces of gummy candy to just get the syrup.

Treeish! I've never had a real mulberry (or even heard of them much outside of children's rhymes). They look a bit like blackberries.

Ha, they're literally treeish! Image Odd, since the children's rhyme that I associate with mulberries is "Here we go round the mulberry bush."

I've worked long and hard on an UPDATE!

Code: Select all

### 0.963
- an inoccuous boost rename
- track total castles built wiped by Molpy Down
- fixed tracking highest NP visited (oops, that would have been messing with Time Travel)
- a several new badges, mostly for Time Travel use
- actually increment number of time travels!
- added a way to help finance time travel
- and a time travel boost to help even more!

Hmm, I was using an old version. In fact, anyone who follows castle.chirpingmustard.com was using an old version. Yaay for the export.
Is it planned to update castle.chirpingmustard.com or should I update the first link to the game?

Err - with this update It is destroying 231 castles per mnp. (This may be noise at 1,300,000 castles per ONG)

Why?

I have stopped the program for now - it is unusable with that message flashing up the screen all the time.

Now that I am finally running the updated version I have noticed a lot of awesome stuff:
*Images with the tools
*Many new boosts
*Logging on the messages
*Double or Nothing is actually clickable

Yaay!

And 1 slight irritation: Badges' descriptions stay a while after you've gone over them with your mouse. That has as a result that the badges list jumps. When I scroll it I accidentally open all the descriptions. When I am where I need to be the list continues jumping back for a while.
Would it be possible to add a delay for opening? Simply let it only open if the mouse hovers over it for a couple of seconds. That would leave "Double or Nothing" functional and remove the seemingly erratic jumping.

Supposedly it was but the DNS records are taking a long time to propagate. Or something like that.

Ok, then I won't edit the first link. Else I'd change it and then the place for the newest would change again and it would be wrong again. And I would not notice and the link would keep being incorrect.

A Now that's just the idea I needed! Except a second is longer than you think. A second or less may do the trick nicely.

I was in two minds about showing all the messages. At one point I was aggregating them to 1 per 10 mNP. If your computer can't handle it, I'll put that back in.
Also I think I'll rework the numbers a bit: as I alluded to in the quote, I wasn't expecting folks to be so far into the danger zone already. I probably shouldn't have pushed that without a bit more consideration but I was getting rather hungry. I'll let you know when it's safe. Ish.

What feature has suddenly caused it to do that?

The messages are annoying - but with it doing that EVERYTHING other than the npbs is totally irrelevant - what they produce is noise.
