Create A Country

Here you can make your own country, here is the initial map:

Feel free to add islands, and definetly geographical features like mountains and rivers, also feel free to name them!
dark Grey area cannot be part of a country, too cold.

Once you add a country fill out this form:
Name: the name of your country
Race(s): what races live in your country, as well as their role in society if there is more than one (are they all equal? Or are the dinosaurs the rulers while humans are slaves?)
Capital City: the name of your capital city along with a short description thereof.
Flag: your flag. May be omitted
Government: How is your land ruled? Do you have a king? A council of elders? An elected president? Who is your leader/what is the name of the ruling family/who is influential in your country?
Population: basic rule of thumb is that small and/or fast races have a large population, while large and/or slow races have a smaller population
Religion: Make up something that your people believe in (Gods are real, so you can expect some actual help from them). You can base this off a real religion, but don't use a real religion (to keep things Basically Decent) May be omitted.
Technology: Middle age technology is standard, you may choose a few areas in which you are ahead.
Magic: How much does your country know about magic? Who practices it, and how? May be tied in with religion if your God is the source of your magic.
History: How your country was formed. May be omitted.
Location: Where on the map would you like to be?
Geography: what kind of terrain does your country have? Mountains, deserts, lush forests, ice plains, salt lakes? May be omitted.
Anything else: Add any information you think should be included.

If you are mentioning a race that has not been mentioned before, you additionally need to include a description of the
Race
Appearance: describe how your race looks.
Advantages: areas at which your race excels
Disadvantages: areas at which your race has problems. Should be at least as many of these as of advantages
Magic: What kind of magic can your race use? Must it be learned, or is it instinctual? How powerful is it? Can all members of the race use it, or just some?
Lifecycle: If the race has more/less genders than the standard 2, if there is a strange way to have babies, if there is a larva state... mention those things here.
Anything else: Add any information you think should be included.

NOTE: do not create a race that goes against normally used races. i.e. don't create "orks" that are beautiful, graceful and nice. Don't create "humans" that are reptiles.



Rules
This is mostly a free-form RPG, but since we are playing together and not each alone, some rules are necessary to keep this from dissolving into chaos.
1. Be reasonable within the laws of the world. These will be established as we make our characters and play. Specifically: don't be overpowered. You don't suddenly develop magical powers that can destroy all your enemies at a glance, and you don't suddenly have spaceships when you were just finished figuring out how a typewriter works. Don't be afraid to tell others if you feel they are crossing a line.
2. Arguments are ultimately resolved by me. This is to ensure that the thread doesn't dissolve into arguments; if I feel that an issue is taking too much attention I will step in and resolve it, and all players should accept the resolution. I will try to use this a little as possible.
3. Wars are resolved by a neutral party. Basically: Players A and B are having a war. They choose a player C which isn't involved. Both players send their moves to player C, who then decides what happens. Repeat until there is a winner (either because one side is captured, destroyed, or there is a diplomatic agreement to stop the war)
4. Countries and Races must be accepted by me, again this to ensure that people don't start with overpowered countries. You won't be allowed to have archangels who can command every other race they have to obey instinctively. Again, I'll only use this if someone really crosses a line in terms of power, beyond that you are free to be as creative as you like.
5. Updates to the map are to be done as follows: Step 1, tell people that the map will be updated. Only do this if some time has passed since the last update, or some major changes have happened (new country, war has changed borders, etc.). Step 2: Give people time to tell you how their countries have changed since last update. The changes should be consistent with what the people have said in the RPG. You may omit this step if you only want to add a new country. Step 3: Post the updated map, along with a change-log telling people what has changed.
6. Nothing is set in stone. The main goal here is to have fun and create an interesting world. Give a reasonable explanation for why you want something to be changed, and it will very likely be possible to do so.

Religion: Humans believe in Farv, the one and only God. Anti-Humans belive in Anti-Farv and Kahliki, A-Farv is the God of death and Kahliki The water.
Technology:Standard, only ahead really in fishing technology.
Magic:Anti-Humans use magic, for humans are not able to. But even Anti humans have limited magic, mostly just passive and no warfare magic.
History: Ever since the beggining of recorded history Humans and Anti-Humans lived at peace. although recently Anti-Humans have been growing, and are trying to take the lead political role.
Location:refer to original map. (green)
Geography:Northen is cold mountains good for mining, alough everything else is located mostly on the Gyrite River and Coast, which means great for fishing and farming.
Anything else: nope.


Race: Humans
Appearance: look in a mirror
Advantages: Smartest known race
Disadvantages: fairly weak
Magic: none, although some say they can most are hoaxs.
Lifecycle: you learn this in science
Anything else: refer to yourself



Race: Anti-Humans
Appearance: slighty pailer than humans, taller and have longer arms
Advantages: fairly strong
Disadvantages: smart, just not too much
Magic: fishing magic, farming, conjuration, and weather(not severe) are the 4 groups.
Lifecycle: exactly like humans
Anything else: nope.

Name: Auhl
Race(s): 91% antihumans; 5% Humans; 4% Mountain Monks
Capital City: Nova Sofia; located next to the northern coast

Government: Socialist federal republic, with the two federal states Koost (norther area) and Laak (southern area). Mountain Monks have begun to increase their power in their community, being seen as superior by the antihumans.
Population: 960 000 inhabitants
Religion: Kahliki for the antihumans. The Mountain Monks believe in Nivea, the godess of snow.
Language: The antihumans speak northern Auhlian, structurally similar to southern Auhlian spoken in the southern territories. The Mountain Monks speak Nye, using a strange scripture in their writing system.
Technology: Standard antihuman technology. Mountain Monks have important advances in road construction, bridges and (archery) bow designs.
Magic: Standard antihuman magic. Mountain Monks have developed the ability to communicate with the snow lizards and the snow falcons.
History: Originally a monarchy similar to the Earth 10th Century Ireland, ruled by the Mountain Monks. The antihumans, expelled from the southern territories, came to the modern Auhl, welcomed by the Mountain Monks. The socialist regime began some decades later, supported by the antihumans and discouraged by the Mountain Monks. This led to the SP 1354 massacre of 70% of the Mountain Monks. The humans in Auhl came from Gyrite, fleeing from the feudal monarchy. The new Supreme Mountain Monk has adopted new approaches to collaborate with the government since SP 1410, which has led to an increase in general welfare among the Mountain Monks and the end of the political pressure.
Location: East of Gyrite.
Geography: Auhl has some coast and a cold desert covering the northeastern region. The southern mountains are inhabited by the Mountain Monks. The southeastern region is full of fertile hills, having a notable wine production.
Anything else: The capital, Nova Sofia (located in the Koost region), was once called Sofia until an earthquake in SP 1360 destroyed it completely, leading to the famine between SP 1360 and SP 1363 in the Koost region. The second largest city by population, also in the Koost region, is Helefax, a very important mining site which exports copper to the surrounding countries. Helefax, which is at the westernmost point in Auhl, is connected by railway to both Restonain (capital of Gyrite) and Nova Sofia (capital of Auhl), being a very strategic place in the area. There are some ski resorts in the mountains, frequented by tourists of the neighbouring countries. The Mountain Monks' area, the southern part of the mountains, only has four small towns of between 4000 and 5000 inhabitants, with the rest of the monks living next to the lake, fishing the silver trout of the Manao lake.

Race: Mountain Monks
Appearance: Short, stubby, human-like creatures with a small lower jaw and strong six-fingered hands.
Advantages: Incredible road construction technology, communication with snow lizards and snow falcons.
Disadvantages: lower life expectancy at birth than humans or antihumans
Magic: Greater Mountain Monks teach the children the magic of connecting themselves to the forest and to the animals.
Lifecycle: Unknown. Around age 2, the Mountain Monks enter a strange cave until they are age 5, changing their appearance quite a lot.
Anything else: Partly massacred by the antihumans in Auhl, they have gained more political power in Auhl since then. However, it is suspected that more than 50% of the current Mountain Monk population live in other mountain ranges far away from Auhl, resulting in no more than 80 000 Mountain Monks in the world.

No, I am sorry. Blue is sea, the light grey is land and dark grey at bottom of map is cold. I am very sorry, and have edited the rules.

Here is my neighbor's country, he will be making an account soon.

Name: Walzavia
Races: 93% Human 7% Anti-Human
Capital: Geronimo City, located near the northern-most of the 2 great lakes.
Flag: He is working on it in photoshop.
Government: Representative
Population:1.34 million
Religion: Farv
Technology: Advancements in Trade
Magic: Very Uncommon
History: was the failed colonial attempts of the first 2 great empires, 1 Human, 1 Anti-Human. Each made a colony in the Real world equivalent of the new world, but then around SP 1198 The 2 empires fell into war, resulting in Gyrite, where Humans and Anti-Human are both extremely populous. Once the 2 Great Empires were in war the colonies attacked each other. The result was Walzavia. The Human's Colony beat out mostly all of the Anti-Human one.
Location: Peninsula of Walzavia in the New world.
Geography: 2 Great Lakes, North and South. A tiny bit of a mountain range peaks into the south.

The Twin Cities LaShuanel and Firyse were the 2 bordering capitals of the first 2 empires, Firyse was the Anti-Human Capital, While LaShaunel (Named after the 2nd Emperor) Was the Human Capital.

RULE PROPOSALS:
A player may have a maximum of 3 different countries, each one in a different continent, and he/she must be able to handle each one of them correctly.
The player may resign from absolute control of their country if another player accepts to control it.

2nd Country:

Name: Republic of the Islands (The Republic, or The Islands, for short)
Race(s): 89% Islanders, 5% Human, 6% Anti-Human
Capital City: Balikan, Located on the middle of the Great River.
Flag: Image
Government: Merchant Republic
Population: 930,000
Religion: Ar (Egyptian sun god backwards :D), The Sun God, with small amounts of Farv and Kahliki from immigrants.
Language: Everyone speaks Islander, it is one of the hardest langue to learn. Islander also has a very diverse Hieroglyphic system. (writing with pictures)
Technology: Advanced in most everything, Especially farming.
Magic:Islanders do not believe in magic.
History: The Republic is a very advanced empire, similar to Earth's equivalent of Ancient Egypt. Once discovered by Gyrite (and Auhl, too, if you want), Everyone had caught word of this new "Advanced Empire", it became a popular tourist spot for a while, until the Islanders banned tourists from The Republic in SP 1356. In 1367 There was a mass exile of Humans and Anti-Humans Alike from Gyrite (And possibly Auhl, again if you want) Fled to The Republic, where the Islanders accepted new members into their society. That is why there is a human and Anti-Human population in The Republic.

Geography: Very arid, but The Great River flows through giving great Flood Plains for farming. The island of Ting is mostly used for religious purposes.
Anything else: The Great River is the longest River in the world, also the most fertile and 2nd most Fish producing, behind the Gyrite. ( Based off Ancient Egypt and The Nile. )


Race: Islanders
Appearance: Tan, with rougher skin. Also smaller eyes.
Advantages: Smartest Race ever, even smarter than Humans, also pretty strong.
Disadvantages: Have weak immune system, making them more susceptible to disease.
Magic: Capable of magic, but is highly frowned upon.
Lifecycle: Unknown, Some say they are born from the sand, while others say the water. As for death, they usually live to about 60.

emphasising the past status as an autonomous city in the Monarchy of Auhl,

Outraged.
It's a very uncommon word describing King Marcus the II. But Today as he holds the paper in his hand, he is, Outraged.
Auhl had formed not all too long ago, when the First Antihuman empire fell, The Antihumans that did not want to live with humans fled. But their efforts were useless until around the SP of 1350. Then they got it right, and Auhl rose. Gyritians were not afraid, happy, or really anything. Just Neutral. We even supplied them with a hearty amount of fish. But now they are making a move. There has to be some way to stop it. No Marcus thought. But there was no choice.

"The Constitution of Gyrite"
As he, and the rest of the new government, finish signing their names, Gyrite has become a Constitutional monarchy. Still flat out unable to get rid of the dynasty that had ruled for LPs(Long Periods), they added a government, House of Representatives, and a constitution of laws, which included a The Gyritian Bill of Rights.This is an answer that pleases everyone, antihumans and Humnas alike. The Monarch would make the supreme decision (Like a president), But also a system of checks and balances, which means if the House of Representatives votes up on a new law, it is sent to the King(or Queen) and they can accept it or veto it. If the King/Queen vetos it, it goes back to House of Representatives. Then the House of Representatives thinks about it more deeply, and if they accept it a second time after the King vetoed it, it has "overridden" The King's choice. Since everyone is more happy now, Gyrite claims back Pleacis, as well as 2% of Humans from Auhl

Seeing the new threat that is Auhl, Gyrite has requested the help of The Republic. Waiting for word.
Also starting to add new training fields, as well as protective barb-wire fences around the borders. Our trade routes are still on for now.
All anti-humans, now liking the new government, become Nationalists, They will fight no matter what for the safety of Gyrite, Along with the human military.
