Blitzin' brilliant, balthablitzposter! Image
I loved seeing a real live blitzphone in action! It was just like a chapter of Acts of the Clerics come to life. And so much SCIENCE needed to put those posts together, baobabs!

I wonder why LaCuegan in the ONGs decided to ride on a separate raft? The Beanie expedition originally had five members if I'm remembering right, so the Beanieboat probably could have held them. Is it because LaPetite made the raft by herself?

Excellent suggestions for the VITSSÅGEN, JA! event in the OTTlympics, everymolpy. Sounds like it would be a fun spectator sport. :D

NOT SURE IF KETCHUPPING OR JUST STEAMBOTTLISH

Postby lmjb1964 » Mon Jul 07, 2014 10:18 am UTC

So, it has come to this. I've been so swamped by Outside stuff, juggling three jobs and trying to do some work around the house, and getting further and further behind in the OTT. When that happens, I feel like I can't ketchup until I'm all caught up on the Outside and have a big chunk of Time. The thing is, that never happens. Then I made the mistake of reading another book, and it was kind of sad, and I was feeling so down. Then my email told me that Balthastar had made another film about the OTT, and I watched it, and it was treeish and molpish. It also made me realize that I really needed was some OTTing to set things right. So, I am going to stop waiting to get caught up on the Outside and do some ketchup here.

I have read everything up to page 1991, and even if I didn't respond to things (due to MTA limitations), I loved everything. I did want to comment on mikrit's Morris dancing otty, fresh in my mind since it was mentioned a couple of times on page 1990. It was hilarious. I also wanted to mention that I just saw some Morris dancing, and they were doing a similar dance, but with leopards instead of sticks, thwapping or otherwise. They had a clever name for it, a parody of whatever the dance is called. I can't for the life of remember what either the actual name or the parody is, tho.

Well, this has turned into a long rambling post. I guess I should sign off and molpy down before my coma cycle becomes any more yappocized.

In response to SBN's wolpy/carcastle post:
We once had a wolpy which really liked driving in the car. I mean really. Whenever someone opened a door or the trunk, and was not fast enough to close it again (except the drivers door, he knew he would not go anywhere if he sat on the drivers seat), the wolpy hopped in. It was very hard to convince him to get out again. Most of the times it was easier to let him come along for the ride or drive once up and down the street, after which he jumped out with no problem, greeting everyone who has stayed behind enthusiatically.
He was a very funny wolpy and reached 14 yips of age before we had to put him to sleep.

Hi again to all. I don't have a definitive answer, actually, but TDF likes to broaden appeal of the sport (for the benefit of sponsors). Nearby countries (and maybe not so nearby) can bid to have a stage or three. They pay for this. The British budget this year is 10 million pounds. Most years it spends some time out of France, perhaps in Corsica or Switzerland. It also helps the organizations in those other countries raise money for pro cycling. Enjoy the TDF as you do the OTT.

Well, they fly, actually, but I'm sure you know that. There is a fair amount of ground/air travel even within France during the tour. If you look at the route there are usually large gaps between stages.

On the other hand I saw a photo of Chris Froome cycling through a tunnel. If I got it right (without reading the story) there must be an access lane in the Channel Tunnel that can be used with special permission.

(quick search ... Ah here you go: http://www.theguardian.com/sport/picture/2014/jul/07/chris-froome-tour-de-france-sport-picture-of-the-day)

Back to France tomorrow in any case.

Charlie! How nice of you to stop by!

So, the beanies have a large ship. Where was it prior to the flood? Was it built on land in preparation, like some sort of biblestory?
Or was it on some unexplored (by cuegan) region of the Sea1, and then managed to ride out the flood through supreme raftcastle surfing, which I mentioned before.
