Here, rain came and went. But it'll come again. Rain comes from the sea, and the sea does what it wants.
So nice to see the OTTcolors. I wonder whatever happened to so many of the artists. Sigh.
When I examine the drawings, do I recognize things that have happened (to me, if I'm that guy)?
Edit: This makes me Pope of NP 2649. Decree: Share things that have happened to you that have been depicted, mirrored, or alluded to in any of the stories of the One True Author, the Other True Authors, or the Other Related Authors.

Re: 1190: "Time"
Thank you, oldpixbot. And now that the timiversary of the appropriate timeframe has arrived, here is the present present that I promised:
Ever since I've had the feeling that the song was finished and ready to be posted, some ten dips ago, I'd been wanting to do so. But I chose to follow the first commandment because of the upcoming timiversary. And I was rewarded: again and again ideas kept occuring to me how I could improve bits and parts of the ottification, and I think it has become the better for it.
mrob27 wrote:@addams, you linked to https://www.dropbox.com/s/ye98q78k3ms8my1/on%20my%20own.m4a which does nothing for me except ask me to create an account. A well-known song called "On My Own" I'm guessing. The 1986 pop duet?
ETA: I reloaded and then it let me play it. It sounds like a OTTification of something from an opera. Can you tell us what this is?
As documented in the One True Wiki, it is the OTTification of the song "On My Own" from the musical Les Misérables, ottified and performed by the molpishly talented lmjb1964 and originally posted on NP1320.
In weather news, here rain passed through two days ago, but thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening are forecast for the next few days.

Have you tried the newest one?mrob27 wrote:@balthasar_s I am very impressed by your MolpyUp automation. It got a score of 1738 on the first try (before you added the flags for extra lives ENHANCEment).
In my first attempt it had very simple rules of deciding which platform to jmp to next.
Sometimes it thought that it's a good idea to jump to a platform which is unreachable.
The next version is much better at these decisions.
It now actually actually calculates if a platform can be reached and how easily.
With ctrl+D you can have a preview of the "score" it assigns to each platform. and an arrow showing where it wants to jump next.

Awesomeful present present svenman! And yes, the First Commandment is the Greatest Commandment there is, along with the Other Commandment, which is like unto it. It has certainly made your ottification wingish to the utmost, and the experience of receiving it is all the better for our also following that Great Commandment...
...as we did also for the OTA's latest offering of Whifdix! Thank you Zooman for so faithfully posting all the new Othercomics and OtherOthers. Of special interest, in this WhatIf, we learn that Earth knows what it's doing. Space knows what it's doing too, but that seems less... earthshattering, as it were.
Also, the number 16 seems to have gone missing. Somebody should check the basement. And while there, see if you can find ggh, BlitzGirl, Febrion... fruit bats, breakfast cereals... The basement is beginning to know what it's doing too!
(In externally Related news, HelpDesk has started back up after yips of the First Commandment too. Now, I wonder what happened to kieryn and his penguins. I miss them.

Not exactly. The Basement is where OTTers go when they don't post on, or at least visit, the OTT anymore. Being in the basement is, hopefully, a temporary status, but for some of us it has become more or less permanent. How long it has to be since an OTTer's last post before they are considered to be in the basement is a matter of personal taste.
Nevertheless, welcome to the planet to the new earth citizen, and congrats to the parents!

I installed an add-on called, "Terms of Service, Didn't Read" which tries to warn me if I should avoid sites with bad terms. It doesn't seem to be keeping up with the current onslaught though, so I'm mostly just clicking OK and carrying on. I have to admit I don't like all the terms, but short of creating my own internet I'm probably pretty stuck.
LW, MSW, MSWFP, and I went on a walk this morning. Found some beautiful things, mostly the benches placed along the path. 'Twas very hot before we finished. I think Alberto will bring some rain our way, but not wind.

Re: 1190: "Time"
Oh, right! Why wouldn't they say, "We haven't seen any people," instead of "haven't been seen by any people"? How do they know if they've been seen by people or not? Do you think GLR purposely wrote odd dialogue to give a sense that this was a time and place that was not now and here?
Also, hi!
mrob27 wrote:lmjb1964 wrote:This frame is one where the dialogue struck me as odd. Wouldn't you say a campsite was deserted, or maybe vacant? I don't think I would say that a campsite was empty.
I considered it to be evidence of a nomadic culture, which would have no better word for "home" and would use the same words for "dwelling place" and "campsite".
Interesting, that's a good thought.

This is the ottification I wrote the night that Time *nded. I was playing in the pit for Les Miserables. I remember sitting in the pit feeling somewhat stunned and crying a little, thinking about Th* *nd. It's an ottification of one of my favorite songs from Les Mis. I cringe a little at some of the vocals, but I guess it sounds ok for just recording it by sitting and singing at my computer.
And thank for the info from the wiki, svenman, and for your kinds words. And thank you also for your steakish and molpish Present present! So funny, I was just listening to my ABBA greatest hits CD. I played it when I had to drive to the airport at 4:30 in the morning recently, and then again when my BF and I had a long drive home at night. It's a great driving CD, with the singing and dancing in your seat, and the perky music, it really keeps you from falling asleep at the wheel.

ED, it sounds like it won't work out this time anyway, but I hope that you would not let your shyness stop you from going to a convention. Y
We had a little rain, not common for this time of year. Not enough rain, unfortunately, to keep my plants from shriveling up when I didn't water them before leaving for a week.

Edited to add something I forgot to add, and fix something else.

Yay! So nice to see so many people jumping in again!

Because "they don't like us very much"? I imagine that they would be chased away as urchins if they were seen. Remember, they were deliberately abandoned and left to drown in a Zanclean flood. If there's anyone else who would like to come in and observe the OTTDnDG in action, please PM me and I'll provide you with a link!
The crew are currently giving Marakai the Vampire Lord a truly decent what-for in a very un-DnD-like free-for-all.

Awesomeful! Gives me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling inside. (Or did I just eat a molpy?)

Not exactly. The Basement is where OTTers go when they don't post on, or at least visit, the OTT anymore. Being in the basement is, hopefully, a temporary status, but for some of us it has become more or less permanent.

I'm busybusybusy all the Time, and then I get scared by the amount of ketchup I need and just cower in the basement. I pretty much live there now.

You're seriously asking that in the OTT?svenman wrote:↶Edit: For decree and referring to the latest Othercomic, I certainly have been confronted with a lot of data privacy declarations and renewed TOCs lately. I have to admit that in the most of cases, I accepted them blindly without actually reading them. Who the ch*irp has the ch*rping Tim and stamina to read and process all that stuff?

Yanno, you don't have to cover yourself in ketchup in order to enter the OTT. There are many ways to time; naked hotdogs are more than welcome here.Link wrote:I'm busybusybusy all the Time, and then I get scared by the amount of ketchup I need and just cower in the basement. Yeah, Cuegan don't get no respect!
Although, to be fair, the Beanies didn't rescue the Forty because they didn't know about them. Of course, it would have been nice if the Hill People had mentioned the Forty to the Beanies.
Your OTTercomic is steakish and molpish, and your redundant OTTercomic is redundantly steakish and molpish. Also awesomeful.
Hiya, Link! Yes, what Jose said. Ketchup not needed here, just come on in (or up, if you've been in the Basement).
The Basement started out as the place that BlitzGirl would send people to if they tried to leave the OTT after the *nd. But it must have grown large enough to develop its own gravity, since now it just seems to suck people in on its own. Including BlitzGirl.

Re: 1190: "Time"
There's some speeling musterd in the Othercomic:

Redundant M*stard:
ETA, Hi, edo! Hm, how did your post get above mine? I just missed it somehow as I was posting. Anyway, happy OTTer Day to you, too! That's obviously a gross oversight on someone's part not to include links about the real OTTers.
