P.S.- I just found out my ticket, and I'm up against someone that has way more fight experience (I have only 1 fight, he has 6), and he's choked out his last 5 opponents, oh crap. AND I have my thesis defense exactly 1 week after the fight. Yay for bad planning. I swear, if I have a black eye or copious bruising, sigh....
I'll look forward to the video.
Make sure to fight YOUR fight. Not his. If he's good on the ground and you're not, keep the fight up on your feet.
Pound it out with your hands, feet, knees, and elbows.
Don't worry about the Thesis Defense. You're already either going to be ready at that point, or not. So don't worry. Having a black eye won't be such a big deal (I had one from my first Dan black belt test while I took the initial interview for this job i'm at now...if you have to, make something up...I ran into a door...my girlfriend beats me) that is unless your board are militant pacifists
