What a nice solution.
We are moving together with Earth.
So for us, the Earth is not moving.
Similar like for any vehicle.
Everything in this vehicle is not moving from your point of view.
Just this time the whole Earth is the vehicle.
Why were we afraid of falling behind the fast moving Earth?
This is actually expected,
known observation suggests that being on any fast moving object, a vehicle, a horse, etc. you will have to hold yourself otherwise you will fall from it.
So it's a reasonable conclusion that the world wants to stop you from any movement you make.
Actually there is only a universal resistance to the change
of speed and not to the movement itself but we have to wait for Newton to know this.
The most common reason of resistance to movement we observe in real life is air. Most of the time it's the air resistance we feel.
Here we don't have a problem with it because the air is moving with
the Earth and with us, that's why we don't feel the speed of the Earth.
At this point of physics history it is however not obvious why the air is moving together with the Earth,
(Earth's gravity is keeping the air here like any other object. At this point of history was air already treated like an actual thing or was it just the "background of the world"?)
or that the rest of outer space is not

WHY is the Earth and all the planets moving in circles around the sun? (or around each other with the moons)
What makes them move like this?
